I like Android because Apple is too expensive for the same product.

Edit:

Apple products do look fancier though, but not enough to pay triple the price for it.

Android CyanogenMod 7.2. A well made custom Android rom is a thing of beauty, and the flexibility can't be beaten by any other OS.

iOS for me. Whether it be iPhone or iPad. There's no comparison. It's simple to use and a great user interface. True....it be wayyy over priced , but that's ok with me. I'm willing to pay for my iPhone 5.

Been an Android user since I got my first smartphone a couple of years ago. Mostly because I wanted to be non-conformist and not get the iPhone (also didn't want to pay 3x the price of an Android phone). Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with Apple -- I couldn't live without my MacBook. But every time I went back to revisit my decision and try out iOS, I felt so limited by the OS. There was so much more that I could do with Android for less than half the price.

So for now, I'll be running Android 4.1.2 on my Samsung GS3

I give my preference to iOS due solely the ability to more readily program apps for it over Android. I do believe Android is the best in concept but is flawed in design ironically because it gives too much control to both the service providers and the hardware manufacturers. So many different phones, different hardware and specs and all but the most expensive phones, that are just as expensive or more than an iPhone, are doomed to never get an OS update. Android apps are developed for the top ten or so current phones and after that it's just a "maybe it'll work for yours" type deal. Even if you have the newest OS you're not guaranteed a particular app will work. Alot of people hate on Apple but the fact of the matter is they provide a quality product, provide updates for product for years and actually have customer service that not only don't take jumping through hoops to get a hold of,they actually know what they're talking about. I think iPhones will always be the better choice until Google can grow a set and start holding manufacturers to a certain standard and not allowing the providers to withhold updates in the hopes of getting the consumer to always just get a new phone.

Android, it runs well. It just doesn't get some of the better apps and games that IOS does. The only downfall is that mostly all phones now run with Android so you can never be to sure of how well the actual phone runs, could have issues or what not. Compared to IOS is all Iphones, so you would know if there were problems etc.

Android 100%
My phone is a HTC EVO V 4G 3D which uses Android OS.
My friend just got a new tablet, an Ipad 4, so she just gave me her old ipad 3.
After using it for the past few days I now know I completely prefer Android OS.
Android has more apps, free and otherwise, especially when it comes to manga apps.
I tried to find a good manga app for my ipad and I failed. The one I did find that was free
doen't have even half the titles as the one I have on my phone.
I've been thinking I might sell the ipad and buy a tablet that uses Android OS. I checked out how
much I could sell it for and I could get almost enough to buy the new the new Samsung Galaxy Note.
Well, it seems I can get between $275- $300 for it.
However, I was already saving up to buy the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 32GB.
So, with the money I get for the ipad I could actaully go out and buy it right now.
After reading this it sounds like I've already made up my mind, I just hope my friend doesn't get too upset!

Ah. I was an android user for a LONNGGG time (years and years) before that I always used Nokia.
I just got suckered into the customization of everything - wasted a lot of time trying to do this and that to my phone.
Now I enjoy the simplicity of my iPhone - which does everything I could need/want, and syncs awesomely to my mac and iPad.
Not too worried about the price - that's what student discounts are for ;> and I never have to worry about it failing on me.
I don't think I will ever go back to PC or any other OS for phones.. Then again, I'm not a gamer - which is why I think people love and stick to their PCs.
Just my two cents.
