plue is obvious but the squirrel/not squirrel from gargantia I honestly think is a flying bat that can see.

Amy's pet is definitely a sugar glider

you really can't argue that it's not one. It's the right size for the most part, has the same body structure, facial structure, and patterns. Coloring is a little different, but that's it. oh I found a picture of one the same color as Amy's

The tail is even to big to be a flying squirrels though lol. however, its ears, and coat, perfectly match a sugar glider. I say it's some sort of evolved sugar glider that has grown a larger, flatter tail to aid in flight. it's ears have also become longer.

Hmm.... they knew.

But things can change.

Or maybe, they went back to the past. So that's why Earth is not a frozen planet yet.

Or maybe, they are still in the present. Obviously, mankind in space hasn't gone back to Earth much because Ledo doesn't even know how it's like. He doesn't even know about the weather and stuff.

Except Ledo knew that earth froze already (that's what the history records show or something, I know he mentioned it)

And Amy (I think that's her name) Told Ledo that she heard that long ago the earth froze, and when it thawed out it became a water planet like it is today.

Amy also explains that when earth froze, humans escaped the planet into space, but not everyone could go. Eventually the planet thawed, and the survivors began salvaging the (now lost due to time) technology

In the first episode, Chamber mentions that the existance of Earth is only suggested to exist in records (meaning, humanity don't even know if a place called "earth" even exists anymore, it's just sort of suggested that humanity came from a planet that supported life. It's been completely lost and has sort of become a futuristic version of Atlantis)

Amy's brother in the 2nd episode talks of a "Legend" in which when the planet froze over, humans managed to escape into space (Meaning, this is an event that happend many many many years ago as well. It's understandable that humans would want to escape earth if it were to freeze over. It would no longer be able to support life to the extent that would be even remotely hospitable for a large population) This too, agrees with the theory that Ledo is still in present time.

here's is the timeline I have.

Thousands of years ago, Earth freezes. Humanity ventures into space. Of course, not everyone can leave. Some humans are left behind, and are forced to tough it out on the frozen planet.
Due to the planet becoming frozen, I'm sure most of the people who are forced to stay behind are of lower to middle class.
Technology becomes stagnated, and regresses, due to the inability to advance due to Survival becoming top priority, rather than technological advancement.

Thousands of years later, the planet becomes hospitable again, now turning into a water world due to the ice melting. Because of this, all remanants of previous technology have become lost at sea. Humans are now salvaging what they can from the sea to try and use, and create large fleets that they have now. Also, because of the extreme loss of technology, the only thing left of the old world has mostly been passed by word of mouth. Tales of humans escaping into the heavens are now legends.

The humans that are in space, find a place so far out in the galaxy that they now call home, and are now a militaristic society aimed towards the destruction of the Hideauze aliens that threaten their survival. Because of the distance they have traveled over the thousands of years, and the destruction of many other colonies, records have been lost of where they came from, and Earth is now a thing of tales and legends. The only records indicate that Earth had become a frozen wasteland and they left.

Current time. Ledo after being attacked by a Hideauze, gets thrown out of the worm hole, to a seemingly completely random set of coordinates. By stroke of luck, the coordinates are that of the lost planet Earth, now thousands of years since Humanity escaped into space, the Ice age has long ended, and is now a water world.

There is no time travel into the past or future. Earth didn't flood in the past. It froze. Humans have been in space for thousands of years. Long enough in fact, that Earth is merely a legend, and its coordinates completely unknown. It's entire existence isn't even known, except it is said that Earth is a frozen planet.

He's still in present time, just in a sector of space that has now been lost to the space faring humans, so the exact location is extremely difficult to calculate for chamber.

Find a flaw in my theory ;3 I dare you. Everything matches up perfect.

Earthling and Space faring humans both have records of Earth freezing, and humans escaping into space. Earthlings remained and managed to survive the ice age. The massive thawing of the planet floods the world. Space faring humans of course, completely abandoning their planet, know nothing of what has become of the world for thousands of years. They have traveled such a huge distance away from Earth, that they know don't even have any coordinates of it, or any knowledge if it exists anymore (and to them, it doesn't matter. Earth to them was 100% lost cause, a barren, frozen wasteland unable to support life) They're goal is a militaristic society geared towards survival of the human race and the destruction of the Hideauze, not finding a planet that may or may not exist anymore.

Think about how far they could have traveled in thousands of years with their technology. They could be on the other side of the galaxy for all we know.

WOW.

Your theory checks out.

At first, I thought Ledo time jumped through the worm hole. (which is quite possible. who knows. maybe, he is the far future where earth already no longer frozen and is now water. Whereas, maybe, in the present time, earth may still be frozen?
For the past, I don't think it's valid anymore.)

But the idea that, this is completely the present where Earth has become a water world now do work. He jumped into the worm hole, to end up, far far away from the alliance.

And Chamber can't map out where they are because they have never been this part of the space (eventhough they awkwardly originated from this planet)

But I am amazed that humans survived in a frozen planet. Because I would have think that they died. After all, it's in not suitable to house living creatures.
But then again, humans can adapt. So yea.

So right now, I think your theory is quite correct.

Hah I also came up with an explanation why Ledo's hair and skin are so white and pale. If you noticed in the first episode during the like...subliminal messages they were putting into his head, it seems that everyone in space has white/grey hair and pale skin.

Space has massive amounts of radiation of different wave lengths. Of course, none of them are good for human survival, so it's my theory that in space, the colonies, as well as all space craft, use very strong radiation shields to combat the radiation waves from penetrating and harming them. Because of this, it also blocks UV rays. UV rays are what triggers the human body to produce melanin (and in turn, gives us tans) by being in space so long, without any UV radiation, humans have evolved to no longer produce melanin, thus becoming albino's in essence. This also makes sense if you note the color of Ledo's eyes (they're a purpleish pinkish color, which apparently can occur in albino humans)

WOW. That makes so much sense on why they are albino or rather pale and have white hair. lol. XPP

You are brilliant.

I need to learn how to come up with this awesome theories. TEACH ME? lol. xDD

Episode 6

Oh silly Ledo, Octopus aren't your enemy, they're food! I have never ate an Octopus though before so idk what they taste like. Another relaxing episode. The dance in the aurora night from Amy was beautiful and so was the OST. I can't wait till it comes out. This series has some of the most beautiful visuals.

Totally agreed. I loved this episode.

And it definitely showed some more progress in Amy and Ledo's relationship, heh heh.

Anyways, next episode is going to be fucking awesome. Hideauze vs Ledo!? Fuck yes.
