That is a good reason (seriously).

I started karnval because of tsukumo (how shallow right?)

in other news

protagonist-kun is once again the useless type (so far)

I'm interested in how well the long hair arata adapts to "civilized" life. the life style change from urban to rural seems easier(adaptively) than rural to urban.

^^looking at that in a educational perspective, it seems intuative that with the "higher" education short hair arata has he would be able to know his surrounding.

if it was just the past that might be true but considering it seems to be a completely different world idk but he probably will have more diplomatic tact to use than the arata originally from that world

also i think your right that when it goes back to the school setting it will probably be pretty hillarious or heartbreaking depending on how they approach it to see the black-haired arata react

note to self need to proof read own posts >.>

back to the thread the issue I might have is if they proceed to animate the anime in both worlds or stick with one. It might be too much for both but... anyways

I understand where your coming from but would be very disappointed if they didn't occasional go to black-haired arata as it is equally important to the overall story

Episode 4:

I thought this was the better episode compared to the previous ones, Arata does something finally and the sword is kind of explained

They will go back to him becuase they will communicate here and there

however more is written on Hinohara side until later because of the huge task he has and now that his Hayagami has awoken but still he doesnt really know how to use it..

. there was a person who showed up to Hinohara in the previous episode which they made really vague , I wonder if they are rewritting that character ...because

But Hinohara's task is

Thats basically the plot of the story

I wonder if this anime even going to get there in 12 epsiodes.

I still dont like the animation of this one , its pretty weak but at least Kanate is not annoying this time... still... I think they made him too young , he is suppose to be the same age as Hinohara
.

Episode 5

Pretty much following the manga but the cheap animation of this anime bugs me a l
ot

Episode 8

Progressing as in the manga and its about to get ugly where long hair Arata is. Everytime I watch this anime I feel like I am watching Inuyasha becuase of the animation. I dont have any problems with Inuyasha but this one I do...

Episode #9

Reveals Kadowaki's and his past .

A lot of folks thinks his grudge is weak but somehow I understand where the writer was going.

To me, he is completely obsessed about that incident and blame HInohara for his failure. Basically that point was the trigger and it becomes an excuse for his failure or weakness.
Kadowaki is basically obssessive compulsive and in complete denial.
So thats how I see it.

People would say, why wont or didnt they talk, I mean long time ago. Remember this happened at middle school and abit of "japanese " trait of not speaking about feeling infront of the other person. Completely passive behavior and I can relate to that.
These are my point of view basing on psychiatry psychology knowledge and experience I have gained.

Hinohara on the other hand is confused, felt betrayed and has been bullied emotionaly, oraly and physicaly.

This anime is really following the manga pretty close but since it is only 12 episodes, I cant tell where it will end. . I basically read up to the point after his encounter with the next Sho and what the other guy is doing in the other world. But its possible they will do that in one episode.

but after that

yea, Kotoha was my main reason for watching the show, but it's at least shaped up decently. now that Arata found his spine, I feel it will probably get better.

I currently give the show a solid 4/5 rating.

it ended pretty strong, but the first half of the series was still fairly weak. if it were longer, it would definitely have been better and if it gets another season, I'll definitely watch it. going to check out the manga, which is still on-going, as well.

I'd probably have to give it an 8.5 for being a solid show with a good premise and cast. if it didn't start weak, I'd have given it a higher score.

The source of the conflict between Arata and Kadowaki was weakly portrayed and could've been better done. I know it wasn't just the race that made Kadowaki snap but a combination of all other things that was happening to him. The show just focused way too much on the race which makes Kadowaki look like a whining jerk rather than a fallen character that people want to see redeemed in the end with Arata's help.

It was still a good show but with its fair share of faults. 7/10

I'd still Iike to see where a season 2 will lead this show.
