*Herja simply nodded and turned to Eliot as she noticed the grass had swayed outwards.* As you wish. *Forming a gun with her hand again the orbs appeared around it, she closed her eyes and when she opened them there was an intense focus in them, one that Eliot had not seen before.* We will begin with me being static. *Just as she had finished speaking she fired off a bullet that was aimed for Eliot's head to her it was live or die, there was no other option.*

-Eliot had focused just as much, and when the bullet was fired, he simply bent one knee and had his body lean slightly to the side, just enough to dodge the bullet exactly by a hair's breath. Of course, Eliot was not faster by the bullet, but this kind of straightforward and static attack would never come close to hitting him. This is because of the method Eliot mentioned before and used just now. The main weakness of this attack was that it was absolutely linear. Thus, easily predictable. While the bullet's speed was unmatched, the Valkyrie's arm moved in a speed that Eliot could easily follow with his eyes, especially with his enhanced reflexes. It was very simple to see where the Valkyrie was aiming, anticipate the bullet, predict its trajectory and respond with a small movement, to dodge. Eliot's enhanced reflexes even allowed him to predict when the bullet would be fired, as he could see very small details, like the Valkyrie's muscles on her legs and arm flexing slightly right before the bullet was fired, to prevent the Valkyrie from getting pushed back by the recoil. After the flawless dodge, Eliot used the exactly reverse motion, to return to his original position.-

*Herja's face betrayed little emotion, she was pleased that he was able to dodge simply static attacks and so she began to run firing at him every now and then changing the speed of which she fired knowing she had been holding back until now and that bullet magik allowed for a far more rapid discharge of the bullets. Running around and firing like this Herja looked breath taking as she was in her element, she was born for the battle field and while this may not of been a battle it was the closest she had come in a long time and if one were able to get close enough they may be able to see the excitement hidden deeply within her eyes.*

-Eliot had anticipated this response and the increased difficulty. He was well aware that a static attack couldn't be compared to something like this, or a barricade. Thus, he quickly switched to a different method. Instead of leaning out of the way of the bullet, he was constantly moving, fluidly, to always try and be out of the line projected by Herja's fingertips. This way, the concept was to try and always stay out of the line of fire, which would render the change of speed of the bullet and the firing rate something irrelevant for Eliot. Eliot was rather spectacular at the way he reacted, it was like a movie. His movements were so fine, that he was swirling his outstretched arms in circular motion, just to allow their momentum to control his weight and position even more finely, along with his precise footwork. He would move sideways, and duck, sometimes so quickly and with such intensity, that he would need to slam his palm to the ground to stop his descend towards it, and it was as if his body would crash on the ground. He always remained low to the ground, employing very low stances allowed to him by his powerful legs, and standing up from them just as quickly, but he never attempted to jump over a bullet, as he knew he couldn't maneuvre mid-air. He made sure to keep his dodges as narrow and small as possible, because a small movement could make up for lesser speed. Yet, this kind of movement was taxing for both the body and the mind, especially when it was prolonged. Eliot's breath was short after a while, and he had started to get hit. He felt the hit spots on his body throbbing, and knew bruises would form, and knew that Herja wasn't making the bullets too powerful, as their purpose was only to signify that he had been hit.

Then, since Eliot's goal was "to not get hit", Eliot proceeded to switch to a different method, dictated by his martial art's philosophy of "aggressive defense". He slammed his fist to the ground, enhancing his strength with his Physical magic, and caused the ground to shake and crack with a loud boom, and a big boulder to come flying up. The boulder only took two bullets before it was shattered to smaller pieces, but this was exactly what Eliot wanted, and he proceeded to fire very quick palm strikes at the smaller rocks, to send them flying at the incoming bullets and neutralize them, right when the big boulder had been shattered.-

*Herja scowled although she was deeply impressed by how Eliot adapted to the situation once her bullets had started to make contact. She was glad she had made the bullets weaker as she had moved onto this part of their training. Looking around she wanted to assess whether she could make a mock smoke screen so that Eliot wouldn't be able to read her attacks even though that meant she wouldn't be able to assess his movement either. Failing to find anything she dodged the remaining rubble falling down and proceeded to fire at him for a while. A few more hours had passed and Herja came to a stop, it was late evening and even she was begin to feel the strain from having practiced with Eliot for a while now. Slowly her bullet magik began to fade until she was left with nothing but the need to go and rest.* That's it for the day. *She looked at Eliot and motioned for him to sit so she could help unwind his muscles through massage since their training session had yet again put them through their paces.* You did well today.

-Eliot was breathing heavily, his body leaning forwards and his hands resting on his bent knees. This kind of dodging, right after the training with weights, had put a huge amount of strain on his muscles and nervous system, but he knew he would be rewarded for his effort by growing stronger. He felt multiple sharp pains on his body, and knew it would be full of bruises by tomorrow morning, as his fatigue had caused him to be increasingly hit during the last moments of this exercise. Yet, he heard the Valkyrie complimenting him, and knew the value of such compliment, and stood up straight, to bow at her.-

This lowly self thanks you for this helpful lesson. -He said calmly, despite panting, and as she had directed, he sat down on the grass.-

*Herja simply rolled her eyes as she went over to him and began to lightly massage his muscles being careful of the areas that were likely to bruise. She knew the bruises were sure to hurt in the morning but she didn't care, that was part of the package for the life they led and if anything working through the pain would be useful for them both.* You'll be bruised badly by morning but don't think I will take it easier on you. *She kept moving onto each limb helping the muscles to relax until she was happy that all was good with his muscles.*

-Eliot nodded in agreement, sharing the same view as her about the pain. After all, he knew of some herbs he could use, to create a salve that could very effectively numb his pain, and enhance the healing process. It might not be obvious, especially with Eliot's medium height and relatively thin build, especially when he's wearing clothes and his toned physique doesn't show, but he had worked extensively at hardening his body. As his body was his weapon, he couldn't afford to have it break, and with his Master, they had worked at making it tougher with intense training, and then using rare medicine to have it heal stronger than before. Eliot soon caught his breath and let out a relieved sigh at the massage, blushing a bit at being treated.-

This lowly self wouldn't want to have it easy either. -He said, agreeing with her.-

Good because training should never be easy. If it is then I am not doing my job correctly. *She finished with the massage before walking over to her bag and pulling out some food. None of them had eaten for a while so she made sure that they all had a decent amount to eat before they relaxed for the rest of the evening before having to retire for the night.*

"Wah! Sorry guys I got lost." Apparently Etranger got lost while coming to the valley in search for Eliot and Herja he got caught up by a jack rabbit and looked for it, Unfortunatly this made him hike several miles uphill and then till he swam across a river, realizing he was lost he came back again to the positon, but got lost again going the other way climbing up a tree because he thought the bird could tell him were to go, off course this just provoked the parent bald eagles who furiously attacked him the way back, He then wandered again until he found herja and Eliot's tracks and fallowed it here.
(I think this can solve up the plot hole )

*Herja looked sharply at Etranger* At this rate I'm going to have to get you a collar and a leash. *She walked away from Eliot and to him before dragging him over to where they were.* Now drop and give me 100 press ups. *Herja stood over him her eyes cold and unwavering, she was angry at Etranger and it showed.*

"Hmm okay..." Etranger immediately dropped down on his knuckles and began to do the 100 push-ups (We call them push-ups here in America) Etranger didn't mind the harsh exercise regime he was used to it from his training alive, but what really needed working was his sense of direction.
