Post Reply do you actually read at the library ?

yes, for me it's easier to study at the library (maybe it's because everyone is working so you also have to XD). In high school, I always like to study or read during the lunch break. In my college, they offer laptop, textbooks, resources, printers, scanner.. yeah really good place to study

It's the only reason I can find to go there? I read when I'm there but I'd rather read at my house.

Haha I remember when I did way back in early middle school. I will go to the library every now and then to print out a paper and look at some books/mags but mostly I will sit and read at bookstores, and maybe buy them. I haven't read any thick books in a long time too. LOL

During my teen years I was constantly at the library, but not because I was a terrific student. I often skipped school because I felt my classes were boring so instead, I went to the public library and read until I got tired. I know, it sounds weird...a kid skipping school to go to the library to learn.

I don't regret it much, though. I learned more at the library than I ever did in school. It's nice being able to direct your own education.

I don't go anymore because the city I live in has cut the hours for the library. I went there about a year ago to get in some reading only to find it closed...on a Monday. Who in the world closes a library on a Monday? Apparently, my city does.

I work at a school as a janitor...and there's a big library there! It's nice. I just started reading a book today. I think I'm going to read it during my breaks from now on.

I use to sign on computer in the library and hang out on xanga, I actually do read there too.

Now I go to the school library and do my homework, it's more of a computer lab center than anything else......no one actually read the books on the shelves

Yes. Because I tend to forget to read a book until it's due, so then I spend a couple hours at the library finishing it up before I have to return it

Absolutely not. Libraries are for less-than-affluent plebeians to huddle around used knowledge.

I cannot, and will never, read a used book.

The library is a thoroughly disgusting place; once the spine of a turtle-bound paperback is creased it has been defiled and can never be read again.

I did but anytime I went with my sisters we always disturbed the peace. Loud giggle-snorts and all.
