It has become increasingly difficult to read at my local library. There are always people there who are gathered to use the wireless internet and goof off, there are loud and annoying foreigners, the tables and seats are always taken by people who aren't doing anything important and there will always be those odd one or two people complaining to the librarians or other staff. I hate it as much as them but, geez, what can you do?

I've long since developed a preference of owning my books but I'll sometimes swing by the library to scope out potential new buys. I do have a card but I dislike borrowing books now since I feel like I'm being rushed to read before returning them. This library doesn't allow the same person to borrow the same book over and over again without a break. You have to leave the book in the library at least a week before you can borrow it again.

If I go to the library, it will be to read. But I probably won't stay in there for long. If the seats aren't all taken, the atmosphere will bother me and make me unable to truly focus.

I never ever read books. I get all of my information from the Internet.

What's the point of reading books at the library when all the knowledge from books can be obtained from the Internet? Books are for old media people...young people --like me--obtain all our knowledge from the Internet.

I often went to the university library, although I hardly read stuff while there. I was usually watching anime with headphones on, or taking a nap.

I find it almost impossible to read in the library for more than a few minutes. I tend to skim over book summaries before borrowing them and reading them in the comfort of my own home.
I'd much prefer to just buy books and build a personal library, but unfortunately I'm not made of money

It's kinda weird. I mean, here in Mexico, it is sad to say it but we don't read much (actual president Enrique Peña Nieto, when asked for 3 books that influenced his life, couldn't answer. Shameful )

Imagine my surprise when I just entered college to study an engineering. I walked to the library and it was full of students. Well, it's always full because they are studying, not reading because they like it, so I don't know if it counts
