VERY good. One of my favs While pretty shallow and cliché at times (= a typical shonen), the manga is well-written and beautifully-drawn.

Since you liked Death Note, you might want to try Code Geass. Blue Exorcist is great.

I live in Ireland and CR don't have it licensed for me unfortunately.

And I think the Viz site is also region locked for content unless I'm doing something wrong.

I could just sit on the floor and read it in the shop like everyone else does, it's how I ended up buying FMA in the first place. :)

Thanks for the help.

Have you tried hulu? That's where I first watched it, but I had to watch boring commercials with it. I wish I had watched it on here.

Blue Exorcist's pretty much a typical shounen anime, but it was fun to watch at times. There are quite a few filler episodes, and the ending wasn't the greatest.
Overall, it's a mediocre series for me. It's been done before and has been executed much better in several previous shows, but the execution in terms of animation's well done.

I haven't read much of the manga yet, but it is on my list...
I enjoyed the anime and would recommend it.

There really aren't that many interesting characters or interesting dilemmas. Yukio is boring as fuck, the chick with grass powers is boring as fuck. Rin is cliche and typical main hero guy....and boring as fuck

Blue Exorcist is good, but then around episode 20 it starts to end really quick. It did a good job on details from the beginning but got really rushed in the end. I'm guessing the animators had a lot to go on and then their producer told them to conclude it already. I could have gotten double the episodes and been way better in my opinion.

Edit: Noticed this was about the manga, no idea.

The anime left me wanting a bit, and I don't normally watch this type of anime but it did have a certain charm.

A few unlikable characters for me and a rushed ending, but I'd recommend it to most people.

It's a lot of fun. I'd also recommend Beelzebub.

The manga is a lot better than the anime. A few manga titles you'd might enjoy would be Black Butler or Kuroshitsuji. It's very interesting and has a good plot so far. D. Gray Man is another manga I like due to the intricacies in the plot. Katekyo Hitman Reborn as well. Very funny but worth a read because it has serious points in it.

I agree that the manga is definitely better than the anime adaptation where it decided to go with shitty fillers and an anime original ending in the second half. But anyways, the manga is okay imo; dragging a bit in terms of pacing and lacking strong character progression imo. It's not bad though but not something of a masterpiece.

A recent review from ANN sums up one of the latest volumes for the series:
