To the Latin American users: Please, don't write in Spanish in the English forum.

The official lunch of Crunchyroll in Latin America with spanish subtitles was already a year ago. This was a good thing for Latin America because of the shortage of legal options to watch anime here before. When I joined here last year I believed that things wilould improve for us over time and that the ratio of new simulcasts available in Latin America on CR would increase but instead of that it has gotten worse, for example this season only 10 of 20 new simulcasts are available for us. I think this is the worst season for us since Spring 2012. Moreover I tought that TV Tokyo titleswould always be available for us here but seeing that the latest show from them has regionalm restrictions it seems that I can´t even hope for this anymore.

The catalog titles for the region are almost nonexistant and the translations of old titles from Engilsh to Spanish is advancing very slowly.

Another thing, what happened with the payment method via SMS? Are you still investigating? After of 6 months? I think the size of Latin American suscribers would rise if you brought it back either that or bring new payment alternatives for our region.

I really want to support Crunchyroll but if things continue like this then I don't see how do you expect Latin American users to continue using this web site.

This is a summary of last season for Latin America:

Summer 2012
continuing simulcasts: 12/???
new simulcasts: 15/19 (79%)

Fall 2012
continuing simulcasts: 10/13 (77%)
new simulcast: 12/17 (71%)

Winter 2013
continuing simulcasts: 12/18 (67%)
new simulcasts: 18/26 (69%)

Spring 2013 (for the moment)
continuing simulcasts: 6/10 (60%)
new simulcasts: 10/22 (45%)

Edit:

To the Latin American users: If you wish you can add a list of currently available shows with only English subtitles to traslate to Spanish.

the simulcast instead of increasing, it is declined
that's the truth and it is sad

How do you expect users increase?

I totally agree with what was stated above, it's time for CR to listen to their LA costumers.

I honestly don't get what companies are aiming for here. I've never had a paid Membership since I don't think I should pay the now 10 monthly bucks -if I saw it right, they just rose the price recently- when only two of the series I'm watching are available in my region. It's ridiculous to say the least. After watching Gargantia and how great it looked, I very briefly contemplated the possibility of making some room on my budget for this, but seeing how it has declined in the past year and the general disatisfaction among LA fans with the service, I guess I'm just going to keep that money. I had high hopes for this season in terms of Anime getting legal releases in LA, with SSO making such success and the Madoka movies coming to Mexico -not to mention, probably the DBZ film too-

Alas, I suppose I was naive in thinking that Japan would ever consider this part of the world as potential market. Don't go crying over the ruin of your industry and blame in on pirates, you're bringing it all on yourselves. Pirates are just catering to a demand that legal companies are not covering, and getting jackshits of money out of it. Piracy, I embrace thee, for thou shalt never betray me like Japan doth,

Even if CR can´t license new simulcasts for the region they could try to license catalog titles such as this one http://www.crunchyroll.com/asura-cryin ot subtitle currently available titles to spanish like this one http://www.crunchyroll.com/shugo-chara

Also it was a mistake announcing this http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2012/07/21-1/saint-seiya-the-lost-canvas-llega-a-crunchyroll-y-doblada we never got an oficial explanation as to what happened with this.

Sorry for the English. In my opinion the idea of the service is good but in general they don´t see equal all the markets and that must change.

I have the same problem with playing videos. I've checked around the English forums and this seems to be a common problem that CR managers won't acknowledge, blaming it on our internet connections -which aren't the problem, mind you; they're not even trying to find a solution

I usually see anime in my xbox thanks to the app, but mostly I only see Uchuu Kyoudai, so whenever it comes to an end and they haven't came out with a solution I might stop paying
