Maybe he's forced to reproduce, who knows lol i didn't read the manga. I was expecting him to bite and not have sex with her. She took it like a man though.

Well, I guess we can also say this. When he said "yes" to resigning be human anymore maybe that's how the AI in his specific machine gained control of him or something. The other ones not having the AI seem to get off scot free so in other words its a pain in the butt for Haruto since he's the bearer of it. Then again, his Mecha may have even more hidden abilities than we have seen so far.

I wonder if the new OP and ED for the second cour will be as good as the ones we got so far

Code Geass season 1 was a good example of good first OP in first half and then ugh OP in second half

Sunrise, don't screw this up.

This ----> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBhsDtFUgdM was my favorite Code Geass opening

Talk about conflicting opinions then lol

That opening jams!

The manga is based off of the anime, the anime is not based off of the manga.

From what we've seen, his valvrave is the only one that can hit the 666% limit mark and go super powered. Even the 200 year flash forward with Saki had her use a coolant on her valvrave as it was overheating to only 100%.
That might be the tradeoff for getting the more powerful valvrave. Haruto gets the bad end of the curse (losing control of himself) while everyone else only gets the immortality bit.

I think I'm missing something about the 666 mark; that wasn't charging up so much as the cooldown phase after they'd overheated (I'm 99% sure I saw Saki's do it in the first episode as well). The important thing about Haruto's Valvrave is: 1) the unique AI, 2) it can use that supersword, and 3) it can stab itself with said sword and become insanely powerful.

That was my understanding unless my memory is just brushing over things I'm misremembering.

thing is I don't think anyone has realized yet that the AI might be self aware. Haruto is just going to blame himself for not being able to control the monster he is, without even considering that there is an outside force.

I've kind of assumed this since the first episode.

It's possible the eyepatched Dorssian is after that AI more than the Valvraves themselves.

Think I need to go review Saki's intro Valvrave performance. I don't remember her Valvrave hitting the 666 mark.

They mentioned that in the last episode when L-Elf and the phsyics teacher were talking. Saying that Haruto's Valvrave was the only one that could perform the special abilities.

I could be wrong, I'm not sure.

But I'm pretty sure 0/666 happens to any Valvrave when it overheats, and whenever Haruto put his into godmode it was by opening his core and stabbing it with the energy sword thing to create some kind of overwhelming chain reaction.

But maybe he has to hit 100/100, then wait out the 666/666, and then he can go godmode. That could be it.

Yea, once Haruto hits 100 his unit is disabled until the counter reaches 666. If you remember, when he shot the module and the water burst out to free Saki, he was sitting there lifeless waiting for the counter while a Dorssian fighter was approaching him.

Funny thing is my Japanese teacher specifically told me they don't say or didn't say harakiri, that they said seppuku but it seems like in modern usage at least in Japanese anime and TV they say harakiri... still a bizarre concept for a battle robot! Overheating and running itself through...

I went back through Saki's battles and she hasn't overheated so far, so I was wrong about that. But there's several instances where she's concerned about overheating (like during the 200 year flashforward and when she's first attacked by the electromagnetic boomerangs). It also seems obvious from the last few minutes of episode 8 and elsewhere that the 100/666 count is a cooldown period after overheating, not a charging up of any kind (Haruto was trying to avoid it).

So while we haven't seen Saki or other pilots overheat their Valvraves, it seems logical that they'd get a cooldown phase just like Haruto if they did. That's conjecture on my part, but I can't think of anything else that would happen.

Haruto didn't use the harakiri move until after he'd overheated and recovered in episode 8, but I'm not sure if that's a prerequisite or if it's just how the battle unfolded. I know he's used that move before but I don't remember which episodes.

Yea, Saki had a bottle of something with her that she destroyed in front of her Valvrave to cool it down from that 200 year flash forward. I'm guessing will see something about that in the second cour.
