I started off with these bands, but I have grown to hate them because these are the two main that all the scene kids talk about. Kids idolize these bands for two songs when they haven't even bought an album. My musical tastes have undergone an extreme metamorphasis since thrash metal, Testament, Slayer, Kreator, Sodom these are bads bands in the 80's metal genre, however I digress, Metallica is better. With Iron Maiden every song sounds the same, All I hear is Bruce and his high pitches, while Metallica created music which far surpasses Maiden. Metallica has a variety of songs ranging from slow to fast and each solo was intricately written.

Edit: Also, the most of the music after the Black Album did suck, it went completely mainstream, however, there are some albums like the S & M Album, and Garage Inc(Even though its covers). Metallica just developed a different sound thats allmas they got older,

By the way, Maiden's sickest album was Powerslave, in my opinion, it was the only album I could listen to straight through

Personally i like Metallica better, mostly beacuse they have way more great songs. I do like No Life Till Leather, when Mustane was still in Metallica. Songs like Mechanix (which on Kill Them All is called Four Horsemen) are great...but i guess ditching him was not THAT bad of a choice.....
