Im paying for the service, and i was wondering if anyone else thats paying has buffering problems? sometimes i can watch 10 episodes in a row without any stops, then come back later and its constantly jittering. I would stop it for a little while only to press play again and it would still do it. any solutions?

No real problems for me with the video player so far, besides it trying to switch me to the next episode right when I'm in the middle of the current episode I'm watching. It happens a lot here lately and is VERY annoying. But the video player is pretty dang good if you ask me.

Really? Can I find that in my account settings or something?

And is your internet fast? I know when I come home (from college) my buffering is terrible because internet at home is super slow.

I think a lot of it is site traffic. If A LOT of people are on CR streaming (even more so in HD) at one time, there's bound to be some slow down. Bandwidth is a precious yet limited resource for streaming sites like CR.

I remember Crunchyroll having no buffering problems some years ago.
Today I signed up for a trial and I can't even watch Naruto, which is one of the most popular ones, it's unwatchable. I'll see if tomorrow is better

I've been having considerably more issues in the last few months. I get the skips and then an actual hang where I have to reload, or sometimes it skips to the next episode as other here have mentioned. It seems like it is not the same across all videos as well. For example Naruto i rarely have issues on but yesterday while watching the Pet Girl of Sakura hall I was getting hangs 3-4 times per episode at 1080P(which has been the standard for me for a long time). I tried at 720P and have the same issue. Finally at 480P I can actually finish episodes, although still occasionally hanging.

When I used speedtest.net My connection was 34MB down and 14MB up with a ping of 15 seconds.

Pingtest.net yielded a 15ms ping and 10ms jitter

Both of those exceeding the listed requirements to an order of magnitude

There are 6 hops to the crunchyroll server.

I've got a 4 core hyperthreading cpu 16GB of ram and a good graphics card. I routinely play blu-ray discs and play 3d games at the same time, so I have serious doubts about it being my machine. While I was trying to figure out the issue and working through the video help topics I used the task manager to determine what kind network throughput I was consuming. At 1080P it seemed to be in the 300-400k range which is pretty tiny for a 34megabit connection. Granted speedtest.net does not actually test against your servers, but pinging the server suggested in the video help section yielded at 14ms ping. I went so far as to hardcode the servers IP address in my hosts(windows) file so that DNS would not be used. Nothing has helped except lowering the quality of the video.

One thing I noticed was that when it hangs, it no longer buffers, and that 300-400k at 1080P slowly drops to zero. Basically the connection is lost and cannot be reestablished. I've seen other threads on this and I know this is a known issue, but it seems to have gotten much worse recently.

Can you tell me if different series are allotted different bandwidth priorities or caps?

Having said all that I'm trying the same videos tonight on 1080p and having one or 2 buffering issues per episode but no hangs. Bit rates from 300k-800k, dropping as low as 69bytes/sec(not kilobytes) during hangs.

Everything that was done hear and noticed is the same for me. I have a desktop with 20gb of ram with an awesome video card and 6 core processor. I also have a 160mb down line and it still stutters and freezes. I couldn't finish watching the last 3 minutes of the world god only knows. I hope this gets fixed real soon because it is annoying.
