Unless I really don't like the first episode, I'll try and give a show 3 episodes before I decide.

I'll watch at least the first episode. If that first episode was so bad that I have to ask myself if I really want to continue, I usually end up dropping it. (My happy exception was Kanamemo--I talked myself into watching the second episode and ended up loving the show!)

I give it the three episode run, if it still sucks I drop it.

I almost never drop a series after 1 episode unless I can tell that it's going to be a specific type of series that I don't really care for; I've seen too many shows in the past couple of years whose first episodes were 'meh' for me, but whose second episodes blew me away. I generally just look to see how much potential a series has when I watch the first episode, and as long as I see potential, I'll keep watching until the series is over or until I realize that it's not going to make use of its potential.

Really, 3 to 4 episodes, depending on the overall length of the series, but if there's something in the first half of the first episode that rubs me the wrong way, and I'm not really enjoying something about the show by the end of that first episode, I'm not afraid to drop it.

For example, Devils and Realist was just too gay for me.

3 episodes seems just right to me. That's 1/4 of the way through most shows, and if it doesn't seem worth watching that far into the story, it's not likely it will pick up. If I'm still undecided after 3, I'll just keep watching until I'm given a reason to quit watching.

LMAO!!! I read fanfiction so by "lemon" I thought of another thing!

Most of the time I drop an anime on episode 1 but that's because I'm not in the mood...when I'm in the mood, I'll give it a chance of 3 episodes.

One episode is enough to convince me...
But usually I'd give it two episode before I decide...

One episode usually is enough for me. But If anime is highly praised I will watch at least 3 episodes to make sure I don't miss out on a great anime!

Varies but I usually watch it all, only sometimes I drop when it gets too ridiculously stupid.

I always follow my five episode rule. If it doesn't get interesting by then, i usually drop it. That does depend on how many episodes it has, of coarse. I don't give a show with 70+ episodes a measly five episodes, and so on.

Usually the first episode isnt the best to judge on so I usually play it safe and judge it by episode three, but I don't drop very many anime because usually by reading the summery ill know whether I like it or not. Im pretty picky this way.

I have watched a few "terrible" shows from beginning to end just to understand what bad is.

But usually i'll drop a show in the first 3 episodes if i don't like it.
