Yep. Every single one of my posts is getting deleted.

Thx, CR. Love you, ever said that?

Anyway, it would be really cool to get some details on to how did you guys managed to get Attack on Titan to air earlier. It would be really awesome if it was because of the japanese realizing how popular it is(but I guess it's cool to not answer anything ever, leaving it up to agila or some other user to try and help a bit, lol).

Too bad Europe always gets fucked over when it comes to regionlock. Such a stupid system that regionlock, just encourages piracy.

is it because FUNimation screwed up this week's simulcasts? YEAAAAAAH!

Don't know if that has anything to do with it. They could have the episode up at the same time this week, we'll see if Funimation gets it right this week. I will watch here for HD that buffers properly and subs I can turn off. Funi just can't seem to get servers capable of 720p, some days even 480p pauses...

Ain't that the truth. TAN isn't much better.

More likely because Funimation was able to negotiate the earlier start. It seems likely that Crunchyroll has the same premium streaming ("SVOD") rights as Funimation. If so, when Funimation got to stream at 11am Eastern, CR got on the horn and asserted their right to stream at the same time to their subscribers.

*an Australian*

Obviously not for lack of trying on Crunchyroll's part, but Madman is rumored to be trying hard to get AoT, so its not surprising that its blocked in Australia.

Tell Madman to work out a package deal with Crunchyroll on sharing their content. Madman going for rights is one of the more common reasons for Australia to get blocked out.

Same time as Funimation Elite (assuming they actually put it up on Sunday this week) but with a more reliable stream, sweet!

And most importantly, I can turn off the subs here!

weird i have premium membership on funimation, however attack on titan was always around 3 days later than crunchyroll with the latest episode.

Its first broadcast (or narrowcast, sometimes RAWs are ripped from subscription cable services like AT-X) is before the stream. They've narrowed the gap, they haven't eliminated it.

Funimation didn't announce the first episode in advance, they just put it up at the same time they announced having the SVOD rights to the series. They were then able to get episode two up sometime on Sunday. As far as I remember, sometime after episode two, they announced the time would be 11am Eastern.

For episode three they said there was a problem with materials and the episode was delayed.

I forget whether they announced the new streaming time in advance of episode three or after, but since ep3 was delayed its not a difference that makes a difference.

Its anybody's guess if they will hit the announced time, but in any event it seems that if they have approval for that time, so does Crunchyroll, and I expect Crunchyroll to hit their schedule a lot more often than they miss it.

So even if Funimation never get it up at the time they say they will, at least it ended up allowing Crunchyroll to stream it earlier.

They don't normally engage a lot this deep into a site news discussion thread, do they? You might ask in the premium members forum, BasouKazuma keeps a closer eye on that.

I can only guess, but it looks very much like Crunchyroll received the same premium streaming rights as Funimation, since it was after Funimation got their time finalized down at 11am Eastern (after weeks delay, which is typical Funimation), that Crunchyroll announced their new time. So it looks a lot like Crunchyroll was able to stand on their rights to get the same time.

Yeah, episode 4 is already out and crunchyroll doesn't have it yet. I think I'm not gonna renew my monthly subscription. I don't watch that many animes anyways.

Actually they are not supposed to be late, they are supposed to release at the same time as Crunchyroll. Hasn't happened yet, let's see what happens today...
