Actually they are not supposed to be late, they are supposed to release at the same time as Crunchyroll. Hasn't happened yet, let's see what happens today...

Did it go up on time? I don't have Funimation EVS at the moment ~ heck, I've got all of my monthly subs turned off right now, they messed up my time sheet at work so I even turned off Netlfix ~ but I started looking for Railgun S well after its scheduled time and didn't see it.

Seriously, Funimation should hire Crunchyroll to runtheir streaming operation for them, Funimation just doesn't seem to have the skillset.

It the earliest legal showing. You are just watching bootlegged video and quicksub translations.

If you are watching it streaming, you are watching it on a leech streaming site that generates revenues for itself from advertising without giving any money back to the people who make the video. That is, of course, always an option when the Japanese are too restrictive on the streaming time they will allow, but at least its now a shorter wait for those people who don't want to feed the leeches.

I've heard a rumor that Madman is trying to get it for Australia / New Zealand. I haven't heard any others, but its not like I'm hooked into all of the latest rumors on that stuff, so who knows.

Yes, Funimation had Attack on Titan up on time today. Still completely different subs from Crunchyroll so no sharing of anything but rights it seems. Railgun S was up on time too so I'm not sure where you were looking for it.

I find I have to wait a few minutes for the Elite player with 480p/720p and no ads to work, for the first few minutes it just shows me the non-Elite player with ads. I have told them about it and offered to live debug it with them but so far, no takers...

I tweeted to both companies that it would be great if they combined their skills, using Crunchyroll's superior site and streaming and Funimation's dubbing and home video distribution network. Crunchyroll's twitter account favorited my tweet but did not retweet it though some others did. Funimation neither favorited nor retweeted it. Someone else replied that they don't want Funimation anywhere near Crunchyroll and I can't say I blame them but man, there are some good titles on Funimation! Imagine if they could be reliably streamed in HD... dare to dream...

I normally watch without subs but here I find Funimation's subs are actually a bit more natural, especially for the humor.

Maybe it was up on time for EVS members ~ and maybe I caught the free stream in the transition between Funimation hosting on Hulu hosting, but sometime between 3:30pm Eastern and 5pm Eastern it showed up.

Since they add episodes to the end of the episode list, its really annoying they do not have a separate season 2 page or section.

Edit: oops, spoke too soon, "error, unable to connect" ... .after ad, of course.

Agreed, it is annoying that I have to either bookmark the last page of Railgun episodes or go shows->Railgun->Videos->See All->Last and with Funimation's slow website that can literally take a couple of minutes... but as I said, I have to wait a few minutes for the Elite viewer to work anyways. I watched it starting at 11:40am this morning, using the web page alone. I can't use Hulu since I'm in Canada.

hpulley, I think the CR version of the line fit Mikasa personality, but to each their own.

It may be EVS versus Free ... to me, the episode became visible sometime between 3:30pm and 5pm, and since 5pm its been four tries at getting it to play, with no success any time ... but on the bright side (for Funimation, if not for me), I've seen three different pre-roll ads.

I found the simple "Sasha farted" to be more funny but if I'd been asked to translate サシャが放屁した音です I would have said something closer to Crunchyroll's translation since I tend to translate quite literally, "The sound is when Sasha farted" would have been my version. I wouldn't have tried to take her personality into account, I would have tried to translate it as closely as possible and Cruchyroll did that better, "That sound was Sasha's fart".

It was practically trending on twitter in Japan earlier today...

Next time I will use another browser to see if an anonymous user can see the simulcasts at the same time. I didn't think Elite membership status affected anything but the player itself as they don't hide Elite only videos, they just put a E on them as a sort of advertisement that you need to subscribe to see them.
