I do. It's part of my resolve. I never do anything for anyone but myself. Therefore it's all my choices and it's all my will. Even if it seems I'm helping or doing something for an excess cause. I'm doing it for myself.

There is no such thing.

Free will as defined by most people is an illusion. Look up Sam Harris he's got some really good stuff on this.

I believe in what Schopenhauer had to say on the matter. Does that answer the question?

No, we're conditioned beings

I'm a slave to myself.

Since I'm controlling myself, my choices are caused by myself.

And I believe that's the definition of free will.

No. Society has made sure such a thing never exists.

"Free will" is poorly defined enough to be meaningless. When one clears it up to a meaningful, specific definition, it starts to look like a silly question. It already is a silly question, unpacking the meaning just makes it look like what it is.

I'm too lazy to go into details on all the various meanings, but according to the definition I ascribe to "free will", yes we have free will, although we are also driven by chemical and biological impulses - this is not a contradiction.

Biological and chemical impulses can influence us, but we have the choice whether or not to act on those impulses, so yes we have free will.
