I've heard of various stories regarding places such as abandoned roads and asylums.
There's one place in particular that caught my eye and it was Clinton Road.

I lived in an apartment once in Kent, WA that strange things would happen. (<-- edit: wow, grammar fail) There was no 'materialization' of a spirit or anything, but here are a couple of things as an example:

Whenever I was in this apartment together with my SO, we would get in constant fights over small, inane things. The moment we would step out, our mood would instantly improve only to crumble when we were in the apartment again.

Occasionally, the smell of urine would come out of nowhere. We had a cat at the time, but she has never had any issues going anywhere but her litter box. It was an incredibly pungent smell that would literally fill the entire apartment with no tangible source. Fights would typically ensue after the fact.

As soon as we split, both issues resolved themselves.

Lets see.
when I went visiting family in Mexico my cousin told me that one of her friends was heading out to the next town over with his dad late at night. And out of nowhere they heard a loud thump on the back of the pick up truck they were driving in. They get out and see what was going on. They see a woman in the back of the truck. To his surprise, he knows that woman. She tells them to not tell anyone they saw her and she leaves. Turns out she was a witch. The place my family comes from is believed to be filled with witchcraft and superstitious stuff. I have one relating to a family's home being haunted by an elderly woman regarding treasure. Creepy stuff.

We have an old burned down factory in town. The factory caught fire and collapsed, killing several workers inside decades ago. It's a creepy place in the winter, but its a homeless hangout in the warmer months. Used to go there and smoke pot when I was a kid.

Aside from that we have one really cool cemetery. Highlights include a grave-chair, and a monument that says, "WEED" in great big letters. Brilliant. One time I was hanging out there (smoking more pot) when suddenly I got this incredibly uneasy feeling out of nowhere. So I left and not 30 seconds later I see a patrol car come rolling down the path. The spirit of Burke (the guy who has the grave-chair) must have been looking out for me. Such a cool place.

Oh and I totally forgot that Bartonville Insane Asylum is less than an hour away. It's a relatively famous haunted spot, worth reading about if you're into that stuff. I have never been there myself. Everyone I know who has gone either couldn't get in or got detained by the police

I'll be honest here, every single ghost story, every told or happen. Every single one of them, act like a troll. Ohh, do not get me wrong here. I know of those stories were 'this person died because of this ghost' via stuff. But, the vast majority of stories and ect. They all sound like something a internet troll would do, period.

Abandoned prisons. Reminds me of the game The Suffering.

I went on a field trip in 8th grade to an old county jail, known as one of the most haunted places in North America. By the tour guide, at least. XD

It was big and dimly lit, with the halls of dark cells and the tour guide telling us stories about what happened in the place. There were many hangings and lynching going on, so practically the entire place had lost souls wandering around.

One story involved an old door at the end of a hallway, which the key was lost to a long time ago, so no one knew what was behind there. One night, the janitor of the place was walking there at night, only to run out of there as fast as he could. Why? He heard voices coming behind there. I didn't get scared until my class walked past that door to get to the stairs, and the girls in front of me just shrieked. I didn't find out until later, but apparently they saw the doorknob moving. :X We also saw graffiti and tally-marks on the wall of the staircase, and we even saw the room with the gallows. It was very interesting, but freaky.

you guys are great i love how there r SOME people here on this forum who believe in the true ghost stories that pther "smart" ppl disregard with such arrogance.

okay so here's my story one day i was walking downtown NYC (represent times square i have an aprtment there lol) i go down to central park all the time to see whats going on i do this a lot because there are things in that area that mean a lot to me you know what i mean??? anyway i go too the park and i see this guy in a tall white hate i have no idea whatt the fuck he's wearing i don't even see it properly because he's using his powers to try and hide himself. so anyway i go up to this guy and ask if he sees him and he doesn't im kind of confused at this point as you may tell. so he disapprears right b4 my eyes and im like what the fuck is happening to me!!!!!!!

anyway i go back home and i notice things r a lot more quiet than normal im a little confused because normally can hear the cars fro, outside and stuff in the city that never sleeps. so i go to the kitchen and what do you think i see? take a guess?

I SEE THE MAN IN THE HAT AND HE TRIES TO FUCKING KILL ME but he's just a ghost.........

My house...

I did engage in some bad satanist rituals once. (about 3 months ago)
I was trying to see if demons were real or not. (I got curious of the super natural, don't judge me. I'm an Atheist.)

WHERE IS THIS PLACE? :O

I've never been to a haunted area. In theory, I would absolutely love to go to one because it sounds fun and exciting! In reality, I'm a huge scaredy cat and would probably cry once a little thing happened.

Yes it was a house in my town that we called the Kotty house. It was grown over really bad and there was a huge grave yard behind it. No one would want to go in because they said things would hit you or be thrown at you and stuff would move around. I went at night once and wanted to get out and see the grave yard but everyone else was like hell no! So I only looked at it lol.

That's when you laugh at them and go see it alone.

Wish there were cool haunted areas around here but most of them just seem lame. I also feel like I would just be too skeptical and try to figure every little thing out to the point where it would ruin it for anyone else there.

I guess my friend's apartment parking lot is considered haunted. The layout of the parking area is adjacent to the pool, you'd have to go past a row of cars to reach it, and the pool itself was obscured by a wooden fence and storage. A girl had drowned in the pool a decade ago. I think we may have experienced something. We had been filming for a school project, and it was winter no one is ever in or uses the pool during this season. While our camera man had gone off ahead of us, he called back asking us about a girl who was peeking out from behind a car. Of course we didn't live there nor were we able to see what our camera man saw, so my friend who lives there dismissed it as being one of the neighbor kids. We begin filming and we hear a splash come from the pool, we go to confirm that it was a resident of the apartment, but as we get there. Lo and behold, no one was there except for us three. No ripples either. We're thinking what the fu- when we all saw movement of someone darting behind a car at the far end of the parking lot, again we go to investigate, and we detect no one at the far end, checked beneath cars and thoroughly searched. We noped outta there quickly and filmed at my place.

Another oddity is a friend's home that was constructed back in the early 20th, and he always states that it's haunted and we often dismiss the claim as him joking. I had received a mass text from said friend's sister. From the picture I can tell it was taken in their living room, the focus of the picture was a rose, but accompanying the picture was a text message that said "LOOK AT THE CORNER", the corner of the living room. In that corner there seemed to be an inconsistency with the surrounding light, it was shadowy and blurred while the rest of the room was well-lit and clear. The shadow or silhouette was, as we describe it of a child wearing a cowboy hat, but at the same time a man wearing a cowboy hat. Looking at that picture made me feel uneasy. If there were something, I'd theorize that a kid must have died in that house when Westerns were big in Hollywood. Could the picture have been doctored? Possibly, but unlikely, who would go through the trouble to.
