From what i experienced, premium petrol gives me less mileage and but a smoother ride but wit the rising petrol prices i am sticking to regular...

If your engine doesn't knock when using regular go for it. If you happen to need 91 octane you *should* know it if you put in 87/89. I accidently filled 87 in my 85 supra once when I first got it... man I never wanted to make that mistake again. It felt and sounded like I was running on 5 cylinders.

READ OWNER'S MANUAL

if you can read the brochure of your car, it doesn't hurt to read the manual.

stop bickering. the car makers know more than you do.

Nice. The US gas is like water compared to yours with the max I have seen is 93. Lowest is 87 I think (maybe a few years ago).

Gas? Pffft whatever. The E85 here in MI, and most elsewhere probably, is equivalent to 105 octane and it cost way less than race gas. E85- under $2 a gal. Race gas- $6+ a gal. I use it to run my toy, becuse it has 11.25:1 compression.
