Do you only watch anime, or do you read manga as well?

Mostly anime, but I do read a few mangas that interest me. Usually, when the anime ends without finishing the whole story I go to the manga, one example is Gunslinger Girl.

Anime is great and all, but there's not a very broad range of types of stories that typically get animated. A lot of great ones are too "niche," so my only chance of experiencing it is to read it.

Thanks to streaming services like Crunchyroll, the entry cost for anime fans is much lower than it used to be, so I find myself watching a lot more anime than I used to (because I no longer have to pay $30 for a DVD ... or a VHS tape). Also, several manga publishers, most notably Tokyopop, are now out of business, and, where I live, there are no book stores to sell manga, anyway. I use to read quite a lot of manga, but the market for this type of fandom has changed a lot, so, these days, anime is the way. ($6.95 U.S. for a month of anime provides much more value than $12.99 for one volume of manga, IMO.)

first anime, then I got into manga, and most recently light novels. if you only watch the anime, you're missing out on a lot. there're a lot of good manga that never get made into anime, and anime adaptations usually skip or sometimes outright change things from the source material.

I definitely watch more anime than I read manga, but I have a subscription to weekly shonen jump and I read every issue, plus the occasional digital volume of Psyren or Nisekoi.

Depends on the case.
If an anime is announced I usually stop reading the manga until the anime has been aired - avoids self-spoiling

I first check out the manga and if I like it then I'll watch the anime. After all, anime is an adaptation of the first and most time it doesn't deliver as well as the manga.

I use to only watch anime. Then when some of my favorite anime did not get renewed seasons I had to result to reading their manga, then I even had a few where I had to find their light novels.

Now however I really enjoy watching anime and reading light novels and manga.

I both watch the anime/read the manga (if it has one)
