I can't believe I'm still going with this absolutely stupid metaphor but, no if a mother or father want to eat their steak they don't have to go to a restaurant or eat it while the babies not in the room, they just have to sit a reasonable distant away from their child. This is still taking a risk though, considering the internet is a lot more unpredictable then a dinner table. Its hard to keep a children from stumbling across things they shouldn't see. If people really want to see anime boobs THAT badly then Crunchyroll should at the very least make it age restricted content, they already have this in some cases. However this won't help much because of how easy it is to lie about your age on the internet.

By the way, sorry for enforcing "my personal moral standards" upon you, sorry for worrying about the impressionable children who could wander onto this site.

It being ridiculous and stupid is the point. Enforcing censorship on adults because some aspect may be considered inappropriate for children is ridiculous and stupid.

Regardless of how difficult it is to completely shelter one's children from content that a parent may find objectionable(maybe impossible even).
The responsibility still falls on the parents in question.

Claiming to be "protecting the children" is one of the most common excuses used to suppress expression of free speech. In the past, "protecting the children", or protecting "public morals" was a prime reason for book burnings, and other suppression of free speech.

Censorship of any kind is morally wrong. Things like boobs (and dongs, ladies), swear words, and dead/dismembered bodies have existed since the dawn of time. Averting your eyes/ears (or anyone else's) is subjectively lousy. I can't lie and tell myself that these things don't exist, nor can I understand how others do it so willingly. Just my opinion.

I don't believe that censorship should be enforced upon adults, but that being said Crunchyroll isn't a site just for adults. There are quite a few teenagers, and younger adolescents that use this site as well. I knew a fourth grader who used this site to watch Shugo Chara and other shows that caught her interest, like Lilpri and Naruto. If Crunchyroll were to all of sudden include uncensored content and have an age restriction, it would exclude people like her. Crunchyroll is not just a site for adults who want to watch anime, that's why its against the rules to post pictures that go past PG13 in the forums.

While it is a parent's job to limit and monitor what their children are watching, Crunchyroll isn't a site that would look to contain inappropriate content. The highest rating I believe it has is PG13 and it has shows that are aimed at a child demographic. However anime can also contain content that is more mature than many would think due to its rating, this is mainly due to the cultural differences.

Also we are not discussing book burnings or the limitation of free speech, last time I checked we were discussing whether Crunchyroll should use uncensored content. Calling the right to look at boobs and overly sexual anime characters suppressing rights to "free speech" is a bit of stretch. If this were a porn site, I would agree with you. But its not.

I not saying breasts or sex is a "bad" or "immoral" thing, but I don't want a younger person to first see those things while watching anime. Anime in general doesn't do a very good job of presenting sexual things in a mature or realistic way.

Yes, Crunchyroll isn't solely targeted towards adults, but it is a site that requires people to be at least 13 to sign up according to the Terms of Service, and it isn't solely targeted at children either.
Crunchyroll also doesn't generally air uncensored content, but airs the content that was aired on the TV broadcast in Japan, already censored for the time slot or channel it airs on.
However, what you mentioned in your initial post was that CR should censor their content on top of the existing Japanese broadcast censorship.

Parent's should generally speaking at least try to watch the same thing their children are watching to make sure it's what they feel is appropriate in any case.
Depending on the parent plenty of things that would get a PG-13 or lower ratings in movies or a T or below rating in games may be considered inappropriate to them.

Censorship, and its various justifications are fundamentally related to restricting free speech so I wouldn't say it's unrelated at all.

Aside from that, plenty of non-adult anime has heavily sexualized characters and boobs galore, it's not as if only pornography uses that type of content. Censoring content intended for teenagers or adults because of the chance a child may see it is never justifiable.

Ultimately that comes down to that child's parents and what they consider appropriate for their child, and taking an active role in ensuring the media they provide access to are acceptable for them.
Too many parents already use TV, video games, and computers as babysitters for their children, we don't need to make it easier for them to shirk their responsibilities, nor is it anyone elses responsibility to uphold those persons moral standards on what is appropriate for children.

First of all, I apologize for responding so late. League of Legend has been sucking up my free time

Second, I think you misunderstood me. I do not think Crunchyroll needs to censor content on top of the existing footage. I simply believe they should use censored content.

I do agree that plenty of anime use plenty of sexual things, except most of them do not use outright nudity. When something is covered up, by either clothes or a censor bar, it is often harder to process what you are seeing.

Finally I don't believe that "too many" parents "shirk their responsibilities" and use entertainment as "babysitters", but for the sake of arguement lets say just this is true. This idea does not make uncensored content okay, in fact it makes it more necessary. If parents are not going to do their jobs, does that mean its okay to allow their children to do whatever the want? Parents are indeed responsible for doing their jobs but if they chose not to do so it not okay for other to not care. For example, imagine everyday on the way to work or school you see a ten year old watching hentai over their mother's shoulder. Would you do nothing? The idea is that just because parent don't do their jobs, does not mean the rest of the world can forget about their children. In fact it's the opposite.

If Crunchyroll continues to use censored material what will happen? People will get annoyed? Maybe it will lose some more views from people who aren't using it because they want to see anime boobs? Not much really, no one is going to be hurt. Thats the way Crunchyroll works right now. Now lets think about what will happen if they do use uncensored material. Maybe nothing will happen, maybe all the children's parent will do their jobs. However what if a few children do see something while watching Naruto, what if it changes a few of them? Are their futures really worth risking just so people get to see some anime boobs?

If it's just "animated" tits, does age really matter? OP got a point. Like people even care about what the fuck their kids watch. Stop lying. Kids scare adults. I would prefer my kid have a sick mind because nothing can protect you, ignorance is not bliss. If you fear that your kid would make what they watch a reality then that's probably on you because if their rl situation is crap then I can see that happening. Hackers learn the dark side of hacking in order to prevent hacks, if you can't make the connection between watching uncensored anime and hacking then lol you're obviously disturbed.
