I want the Sapphire Blue Vita (Japanese model) but have a couple of concerns. I believe the Vita is region unlocked, but...

1) Will all the US games work on a Japanese Vita?
2) Am I locked to the Japanese PSN store?
3) If CrunchyRoll app is released for the Vita, will I be locked out of it, and if not, will it not let me watch the US licensed anime on it?

I don't really know what to answer for questions 2 and 3, but vita and all Sony products are region free.

Not too sure about 2 and 3 either, but vita should be region free, like Chopsuey9444 said. I think the only way to use another region's PSN store is to have a separate account from that country, so US/NA account can only access NA PSN store, and japanese PSN account can only access Japanese PSN store. cruchyroll app isn't out for vita yet, so we can't know for sure.

The only thing that bothers me about Japanese Playstation hardware is that O is "enter" and X is cancel, or something. It's backwards, but the positions of the buttons are the same. Not sure if you can change the software on the system to be NA though. Might want to check on that before you buy but yes, i think the Sapphire blue is a great looking vita

No, you're not locked to the Japanese store. I bought my Vita in Japan, but created a US account, and buy from the US store. It works like iTunes - which store you access depends on your address. Although you need another memory card if you want a Japanese account.

all Sony devises are region unlocked

your PSVita locks to a PSN store the only way to unlock it is by formatting the psvita

( note blueray / and DVDs players may be not be because on ps3 the blueray is region locked

so you ok to use US/EU/JP stores
