One week to go changes and forgot one.But its been a good season.Top 3 are pretty much locked in.The last episodes are really important.

1 The Devil is a Part-Timer/so funny, great interactions and lines. And just got real serious!
2 Nyarko-san: Another Crawling Chaos/Just another great season.Solid Second But the new 3rd place is coming.
3. A Certain Scientific Railgun S/last 4 or 5 episodes just so good!Just so strong with the great battles!
4. Oreimo 2 Started slow but been getting better.

5.(Tie )The Hentai Prince and the Stony Cat/really has grown!Insanity prevails but has gotten confusing.and still is.
5 Muromi-san/ Great show but maybe peaked to early.Still so funny. But that Hentai episode??

6.Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet/Briiliant show.artwork but kinda bogged down IMO I gave this a bump.even they add too many factors.Even though the Battle EP had a lot in it I liked Ledo,Pinion,Lobster Queen and Meltys resolve/ actions.

7(.Second Tie-Up )Zettai Boei Leviatan like this show. The episodes are better now..The three girls are cool and Syroop is so funny! Moved up because the girls are really kind.EP 11 was good!
7.Date A Live Forgot this one.Just was steady and got hooked And got S2

So I dont know if to make a real ten or leave ties?

8.My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU/Started slow actually fell asleep a couple of episode. Loss some support.Just me I guess.
9.Attack on Titan/ The show I thought I couldnt miss.I actually stopped watching.Too much infighting among humans.Kinda drawn out each episode. Not over excited about this one sorry. One of the few I suppose.Stiil no change for me!
10.Hayate the Combat Butler! Cuties/Not as strong as other seasons but has very funny moments,Just too many good shows ahead of it.
EP 11 oops?Just confusing.

## I had to put in honorable mentions just didnt watch until recently.
B1 .Sparrow's Hotel Really funny short.Satou Sayuri is just cool
B2.Majestic Prince If the MJP werent so inept at first and that stupid commander it could be top ten.

OUT .Valvrave the Liberator Was interesting but maybe the biting thing dont do it for me and the assault scene just ruined it.

A month later...

And the Winner is...

Chihayafuru 2.
Separated out since it just happened to end in this season.

The Top Five:

1)
2)
3)
4)
5)
Attack on Titan.
A Certain Scientific Railgun S.
Valvrave the Liberator.
The Hentai Prince and the Stony Cat.
The Devil is a Part-Timer!
Episode 13 saved it from losing ranks; hang in there Eren.
This got really really good after a couple sleeper episodes.
Biggest surprise of the season; looking forward to the next cour.
An insane pile of good fun with some great lead characters.
Great cast; I remember having fun but just not very clearly.

Also good shows, but...

6)
7)
8)
9)
10)
My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU.
The Severing Crime Edge.
RDG: Red Data Girl.
Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet.
Yuyushiki.
No protagonist development left me feeling unfulfilled.
This was an interesting, fetishistic, and romantic show.
Very solid shoujo with nice art; was fun to marathon.
My concluding rant about this anime can be read here.
Entertaining to watch; just wish I knew all the puns.

And so, with the Spring 2013 Simulcast coming to an end; this is my final list.

My Current Top five (June 30th, 2013)

1.) Hentai Ōji to Warawanai Neko.
2.) Ore no Imōto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai.
Yes, I place Ore no Imōto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai. in second place. This is do to the fact that I thought Hentai Ōji to Warawanai Neko. was better than Ore no Imōto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai.. Maybe if the OVAs would have been shown directly after the last episode of the TV Broadcast instead of August, maybe I would have placed Ore no Imōto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai. at the top instead.
3.) Toaru Kagaku no Railgun Sisters
4.) Hataraku Maou-sama!
5.) Hayate no Gotoku! Cuties

1. Attack on Titan
2.My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU
3.Toaru Kagaku no Railgun S
4. Gundam Seed Destiny Remastered

Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Bride - was ok but imo first season was better
Date a Live - Have not watched yet but it is my next anime i will be watching. Not a huge fan of mecha but I hope it wont disappoint.
Photokano - Enjoyed it for the first 8 episodes and just got bored with it. Not a fan of the multiple reality types.

I dropped:
Gargantia (Might end up coming back to finish it)
Mushibugyou (Probably wont pick back up unless i really run out of things to watch)

Havent watched any other shows this season, but about half or a bit more are shows i plan on watching some time in the future.

1) Hataraku Maou-sama
2) Valvrave
3) My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU
4) Suisei no Gargantia
4) Attack on Titan
4) Railgun

I was surprised by just how good Maou-sama and SNAFU was. I was expecting a few laughs from Maou and I was expecting SNAFU to be a Boku wa Tomadachi clone, instead I got two really entertaining shows.

Valvrave was a trainwreck that was so far off the tracks that it found a new set of tracks. I'm so interested in seeing where it will go.

Suisei and AoT where/are disappointing. They're still better than the average anime but I was hoping for Urobuchi to produce something at least as good as PP and they really failed to live up to the manga with AoT.

Railgun was a lot better than I expected as well, much better than either Index season or the first season.

My final after last episodes even though Zettai Boei Leviatan has one more? Some changes and for the most last episodes were good.

1 The Devil is a Part-Timer/so funny, great interactions and lines. And just got real serious!Last EP ending was interesting.
2.Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet/Briiliant show.artwork last two episodes saved this show from an avg showing.Chamber was cool.
3Nyarko-san: Another Crawling Chaos/Just another great season.I hated to move down but last EPS changed things.Still one of my favorites.
4.A Certain Scientific Railgun S/ dropped one because of backstories which are important but are familiar.

5(TIE) Oreimo 2 Started slow but been getting better. The last EP and backstory was good. Now for the OVA's
(TIE)Zettai Boei Leviatan like this show and grown so much.Episode 12 was shocking!

6.The Hentai Prince and the Stony Cat/really has grown!Insanity prevails got confusing but EP 12 was touching and explained things.
7.Muromi-san/ Great show but maybe peaked to early.Still so funny.
8..Date A Live Forgot this one.Just was steady and got hooked And got S2

So I have a second tie and change.

9(Second Tie).Hayate the Combat Butler! Cuties/Not as strong as other seasons but has very funny moments,Just too many good shows ahead of it.EP 12 was pretty good ending!Actually bumped two popular shows.
(Tie). My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU/Started slow got better but wasnt excited about last two episodes.Just me I guess

10.Attack on Titan/ The show I thought I couldnt miss.I actually stopped watching.Too much infighting among humans.Kinda drawn out each episode. Not over excited about this one sorry. One of the few I suppose.I havent watched the last two EPS

Honorable Mention
B1 .Sparrow's Hotel Really funny short.Satou Sayuri is just cool
B2.Majestic Prince If the MJP werent so inept at first and that stupid commander it could be top ten.

Honestly...10 shows? That's like every single spring show. I'll conform to this top 5 trend.

Top 5 of the Spring 2013 Season

1. Attack on Titan
Exciting. Absolute thrill to watch. Immensely frustrating cliffhangers (good thing). Emotional. Bit of a slow pace as of late but easily forgiven without a second thought. Very original concept, not typical, so it's intriguing and exciting all at the same time. The music is utterly fantastic. Same composer who did Guilty Crown, which if you haven't heard, has some of the best music you can hear in an anime soundtrack. Tears are being wept, "Fuck yeah!"s are being shouted, and "NOOOOO!"s are being groaned. I have never been more at the edge of my seat with a week to week anime.

2. Hataraku Maou-Sama
I think this anime was a hit. Such a wonderful balance of comedy, action and drama. This show, in my opinion, defines great balance between these 3 elements which can sometimes be polarizing of one another. Each of the characters is truly defined by a unique personality that brings something to the table, something of worth to the cast as a whole. I grew to love these characters as my own friends. The animation was great, and I truly want to marry Suzuno Kamazuki. I will marry her. The concept again is great here. Something original. I loved tuning in to this show every week and clearly I wasn't alone. Love the OP theme.

3. YUYUSHIKI
Amazing comedy. I was put off by the "different" animation at first but quickly that began to be of no important because of the substance. It's a non-typical 'awkward humor' show with lots of long silences and occasionally very obscure pun references that can be hard to follow sometimes if you're not a seasoned anime viewer or a catch on to language cues quickly, but the girls themselves are are magnets for your attention, all three of them. The chemistry they have makes this show probably the funniest show of the spring season, on a comedic scale. I greatly enjoyed turning to this show every week, and in tandem with the two shows I have above it, I also adore the OP and ED themes.

4. SNAFU
Nothing surprising here. Hachiman brings to the table something that is so profoundly fresh in a high school anime MC. It's not that cynical hasn't been done before, but you have to watch this show to even begin to understand how Hikki makes this show. I think it dragged a little bit in the midway and there's still a bit of dilution in the character framework leading up to the final episode but overall this has been a great show, and easily worth watching if only to listen to Hachiman's inner dialogue. There will be Hachiman quotes. Mark my words.

5. AIURA
It feels a bit strange to list a 3 minute-er in my top 5 but it must be said...this show deserves more. Despite being so short, this anime was humorous, cute, and an absolute joy ride. The absolute definition of moe. This show, in my opinion, had the potential to be the new K-On but never even had the chance since it came right out of the gate as a 3 minute show. If the writer/director knows what's good for them they will see that this show has massive potential. Even the "idiot" character of the friend group is impossible not to love. The tsundere is questioningly sexy with a sharp wit, and the "new girl" is adorable and plays in to their shenanigans flawlessly. They have this wonderful friendly chemistry where they sort of play off one another's statements like an improve comedy game. This was also a strength in YUYUSHIKI but I think this show did it superbly well.

And now the others...

Shows I watched to the end because I felt like I had to, but didn't like

Gargantia - Ugh...this has been discussed ad nauseam in the thread. Boring lead, contrived plot turns and a ridiculous set of side characters who serve as simply a colorful cast of nobodies...complete with absurd twist that ends up not really even being important at all.

Hentai Prince and the Stony Cat - Confusing and nonsensical narrative. Gave birth to the one of the cutest anime characters you'll ever see on the screen, but unfortunately the story is hardly as endearing. Most of it doesn't even really make any sense, you kind of just watch for the cute. It's no exaggeration to say that there were some episodes that after watching I found myself literally saying to myself "What? Did I miss like 5 episodes somewhere?". I don't think that's a good thing. You can only salvage so much by having uber-cute riddled all over your anime.

And finally...

Meh shows that I thought were decently entertaining, and had no issues seeing through to the end

Nyarko - Humor isn't really that great. Every episode can be boiled in to the same recipe of Nyarko fawning over Mahiro (who knows why), Kuuko fawning over Nyarko, and Hasuta hopeless meandering in the background without a hope. It held my attention but this show isn't really something to call home over. Also, Mahiro is probably the most annoying male lead in a harem I've ever had to deal with in a show. I watched for Nyarko/Kuuko antics.

Oreimo 2 - Yeah...this series isn't really going places. I was really disappointed with how they handled the Ayase arc with such brevity. Made the end of that episode feel pretty undeserving. I was all aboard the Kuroneko train but the the way that arc went was also less than appealing. There's just a lack of any closure at all coming out of that entire situation, and the show just let it dissolve in to the nothing. That really annoyed me, and it really put me back in to neutral mode, ready to accept a different route for Kyousuke...which made the Ayase episode all the more disappointing. Kirino has become much more tolerable as of late, which is a good thing...but for the most part I'm not just carrying on through this series to see if he actually does get action with his sister (which I'm not too hopeful for).

Date-a-live - I think the story to this anime is incomprehensibly stupid but I can't help but keep watching it. I like the boringly average main character and the plain dopey harem-esque antics with super-powered girls. The dialogue is dumb (especially the bits with trying to "help" shido raise the girls happiness levels) but I just can't stop watching and I can't help but admit I'm looking forward to the next season. Would not recommend, but I will continue to consider it a guilty pleasure...
