We Bostonians are tough. We will heal. This was a senseless act, but it really showed Boston's strength.

Sad day when people can't even get together to have a friendly sporting event without something like this happening. Thankfully none of my friends or family were there this year. I feel sorry for those who had loved ones there that were hurt because some jerk(s) thought this was a good idea. I hope justice is brought to them.

Well, I'm from Boston and I have been sit through countless highlights about the bombings and It looks like that this horrific and explicit story is not going to go away anytime. It's like straight out from a movie or anime, You have a nice picture perfect day, telling yourself nothing bad can ruin this day and then IT happened. Who can ever thought that we able to see blood and dismembered limbs, eerily very similar to the ones in Afghanistan, Syria, Somalia, and Iraq on the daily basis, in our own backyard. Now I know how they feel when they always been through this predicament longer than we have here in Boston. Although I couldn't resist the story that is plaguing the city of mine, I obviously lay off news from the mainstream media and more on social media, mainly tweeter. Well, except for the BBC News, Telemundo, and Univision for their perspective take on the tragedy. I mean, every time when the news is on, obviously for them is "Terrorist this" or "Terrorist" that" with just very little information or clues that they had. Of course, it is no surprise for me, because I know the American News Industry can't just waltz in to point fingers, rather to take some time to investigate further for much clearer evidence like any actual journalist does.

My heartfelt condolences to the friends and families that who are involved of this horrific incident yesterday. Rest in Peace to the victims who did not survived that day. My prayers are always be with you. God Bless.

I am only going to post this once, so everyone please read this carefully.

If I see one more post in this thread making light of the event, insinuating it is fake, or trying to push a political agenda while posting pictures of the scene of the explosions it will not be tolerated. This is a tragic event were innocent people lost their lives participating in an athletic competition that is known world wide and has been held for years. If you have nothing respectful to say about it then say nothing.

Thank you, I apologize for the language in a reply to one of those comments but some people don't deserve to be talked to nicely. My purpose for this thread was to make people aware of the situation, and also to let people know that there are other acts of terrorism all around the world that should not be taken lightly as well. If you feel the need to lock this thread due to it getting too political then I have no problems with it.

Been following this story on npr and the bbc. A lot of interesting interviews - things like this really bring out the best and worst in people.

I keep seeing this picture on Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter and it's really making me mad. First of all the “little girl” was a little boy, second this is just some random little picture of a girl running some marathon. It says Joe Casella 5K. This sickens me that someone posed this just get get tweets or likes. I’ve see this picture all over the internet of this little girl. A lot of people think this girl is dead when infact she is most likely alive since this is the child that was not killed. Imagine how you would feel if you were this little girl or her parents and saw that everyone thinks she’s dead? Before you go postig about some kid that died, get your facts right.

This was the little boy who died, Martin Richard. This photo was taken during school and he made that poster for the Sandy Hook shooting. I don’t know about you but this is just sad and not deserving of such a little boy. My paryers go out to him and his family.

I hope who ever caused this gets their comeuppance.

Amen. It's crazy! I had planned to do a ton of street/subway performances in Boston this week, starting this Monday, but I chose not to because the weather would've been bad for my guitar. So i stayed home In Lynn, and then all of this happened. Thankfully as well my brother wasn't working in Boston on the exact same street yesterday...

I really wanted to take my 3 y/o nephew to do the Walk for Hunger in the next 3 weeks, but it's just so eerie now. You just don't feel the same level of safety any longer...

I don't know what I can do to help, but should there be an official event to aid those affected by this incident, I will do all I can, and perhaps perform in honor of everyone involved in it.

Stay safe, my friend! I wish all the best and safety to all!

Watching a Youtube video and some people are already blaming the Muslims as the cause of this tragedy... what a sad world we're living in right now

Thank you, posting graphic images to push an agenda is distasteful. Thank you for removing the offending images and keeping the discourse serious.

What makes me really mad are the idiotic and retarded comments on this photo on Facebook:

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=388319211270020&set=a.289855911116351.49980.289540911147851&type=1&theater

Seriously, the stuff people say on there.. I want to abuse the first amendment terribly.

A little part of me hates the fact that I am from the same country as these uneducated and senseless idiots.
