You won't believe how much Muslim hate I saw on yahoo today:( that Muslims should be else ported or eliminated. Because of what happened in Boston .

So much ignorance in the US regarding Muslims. I really can't understand how people can just claim an entire group/nation/religion is bad just because of some extremists. I just really hope this doesn't result in the Mosque around here getting set on fire again.

media reports once again have gaping holes in them. just include the word terrorist and extremist a few times to shake things up a bit and make people paranoid before we really have a clue what happened.

"Video of suspect two planting his device exists, but the FBI has chosen not to release it because were the media to repeatedly show the suspects leaving the bomb, it might cause some people to overreact if they came into contact with them."

aka - the video doesn't exist.

At the moment, they are doing a house by house search of one particular area. One suspect confirmed dead. One still at large as of 2 PM ET.

Correction: Only the House of Representatives has passed the bill, the Senate has yet to vote on it. Obama has said that he would veto it in it's current form. It barely passed the 2/3 threshold in the House to overturn a likely veto. But even if it gets a vote in the Senate I doubt it would get 66 votes with the President being strongly opposed. The Senate didn't take CISPA for consideration during the last session of Congress.

I would suggest you make a new thread to talk about this issue. The tragedy in Boston is rightfully the top news story in the USA right now and I don't think that threads should be diverted from the topics they are meant to be for.

This is breaking at the moment and may turn out to be a false lead, but it appears they might have the second suspect trapped:

- Police Surround House Where Boston Bombing Suspect Hiding
- http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-04-19/one-boston-marathon-bombing-suspect-dead-federal-official-says.html

Police moved to surround a house in Watertown, Massachusetts, where the second suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing may be hiding, a federal law enforcement official said.

The suspect was said to be in a boat stored in the backyard of a home and shots were fired, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the investigation.

Authorities reinstated a warning to residents to stay inside less than an hour after it was lifted. Local news media reported about 20 gunshots were fired in the area. The bomb squad and SWAT teams were summoned to the scene over police radio frequencies.

That might change or it might be the real deal.

/Edit 1: Cross confirmation from various news sources. It does appear that they have the second suspect cornered.

/Edit 3: They got him!

He is alive and in custody.

Captured!! Not that this is a celebration but finally the citizens of Boston can rest a little and that justice will be served for the whole country as everyone was influenced or affected by this situation in one way or another. Boston is an awesome city that I think of as a second home, the people and authorities of that area need to be congratulated as they came together as a community and came together to capture this hellish individual. With him being alive maybe the authorities can figure their motive and with his sentencing rather it be life in prison or the death penalty maybe that may bring some closure to those affected by this terrible occurrence.

Do you always have this much difficulty tredding water in the shallow end of the gene pool?

CISPA, last time I checked, didn't blow up anyone in Boston.

CISPA, last time I checked, wasn't part of the discussion for this thread to begin with.

And to be blatantly putting your agenda's here is insulting, period.

Grow up and join the adults or get off the porch and go back to the dollhouse to play with the other children.

It is so so sad beyond what words can say from all the many tragedies that I have witnessed in america. It is not fair, not right. But you have to ask why did these happen and what will be the consequences to the millions of those who continue to survive including the survivors of the victims. Politics ,must stay out so I shall now shutup. But I am fed up with seeing people die oe be mamed for wharever the reason. I'm tired of crying.

OP: Do you really think other countries spend all day covering news events from the US? No they don't and it would be silly to expect them too, just like its silly to expect agencies to spend all day covering news elsewhere when such a tragedy as this happens.

I saw immediately BBC had it front page on their website and many uk celebrities tweeting about it. That is what made me think about this.

Like here is my point exactly. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/

Front page Boston coverage. But further down the page in the list of links there is a story about bombings in Iraq killing 31 this morning. This is BBC not american news.

UK and US have a close relationship though

^ Last time someone said that, a huge argument broke out and lots of people were banned. Don't try to start heated topics, it doesn't really work well with Crunchyroll.

I myself have done research, and what you say and what I say will all ultimately come down to mere speculation. You're not God, you (and of course I) probably have no clue what all happened for what reason. Lots of people are sensitive about this topic and your "If any of you have not seen this horrible truth yet, please do your research. What I`m telling you is actually truth as crazy as it seems. Just wait and see how crazier this world will be from this point onwards." is a controversial message that is just one opinion out of many.

I would love to see your "research" about the Al Qaeda being fake too. That's just dumb.

This is your only warning, keep the politics out of this thread. If you post in a similar fashion to what I just removed again you will be getting a 3 day ban. Additionally double posting is against the rules.

Thanks.
