My biggest problem with the show is that after watching 5 episodes, nothing has really happened. There's nothing really bad about it, other than that it is remarkably uneventful.

I've seen every other PA Works title aside from Canaan and I gotta say this is the weakest I've watched so far.

It's just not a very compelling story, it jumps all over the place, and the character development is way too glossed over. Additionally the animation is nice but it isn't blowing me away like titles such as "Another" did.

I was really disappointed when CR didn't get this for simulcast. But after watching the first few episodes on Funimation now I'm pretty okay with it.

It's a race between this one (this season's Amnesia) and Karneval, which one I will drop first, and for the same reasons, I think...none of the characters have become likeable yet, just meh, and putting up with commercials to watch legally makes it tougher to stay with. Honestly, the girl who got cut up by the glass blast and her boyfriend are better characters than the protagonist and her protector.

i like the show.... i think....i mean i cant help but watch it i love izumiko's character even though i find myself frustrated with her scaredy cat personality. Im with you guys i don't get whats really going on but it seems interesting the whole reason i bought the premium subscription for funi was because of that show and karneval and the devil is a part-timer commercial free... though im getting confused at the fact that you can watch up to the 6th episode on other sites and funi only has up to episode 4....

The first 2 episodes were really beautiful and mysterious - I thought the show would grow into something much more about awesome powers and supernatural fights - it's a bit disappointing to have switched into yet another highschool drama. Nevertheless there is still potential so I'm happy to see how this one pans out for a whole yet.

When I started the series, it was actually very interesting and full of potential. I was excited to see where it would go.

7 episodes in, and nothing quite happened. Everything is still a little confusing and the worse part is, it feel that this going to drag out all the way to the end.
It had so much potential. But it felt like it decided to go nowhere.

Right now, that is annoying me tremendously.

I'm disappointed.

Uh... they're two thirds of a set of triplets, not boyfriend/girlfriend... Also, if she had a boyfriend, she wouldn't have been so upset that Miyuki saw her crying and wouldn't have been pumping Izumiko for info on whether she and Miyuki are an item...

They are showing "Pre-air" episodes for this show on NicoNico in Japan, but they are one-time events, where you have to watch it live, not where it is streamed and you can watch it any time after at your leisure. That is why there are versions, with incredibly crappy image quality, available on other sites. The Funi feed is the official US feed and is current with the TV broadcast.

I just watched episode 5, and I'm feeling exactly the same way. Hearing that this will continue...well probably the only reason I'll keep watching (if I do keep watching) is because it's the only thing new (legal) on Wednesdays. So unless I get really engrossed in some catalog title or drama to be watching on an empty Wednesday, I'll probably figure I may as well plop down for a few minutes with RDG.

I do like the ED, though, so that's something.

Do you mean the twins (actually triplets)?

-------------------------------------

It's based from a novel so I'm sticking to it until the last episode.

Comparing it to other P.A. Works anime it may be weak in terms of story and pacing but I think they did amazingly in animating it. The visuals are so good. I'm still curious in the relationship between Izumiko's family and the Houjou Academy. The relationship between Mayura and Manatsu (and Masumi) is so sweet that I'm wishing that someone would make a twincest doujin based on them. :D
But seriously they're just so sweet! It seems that they don't get along that pretty well but they really care about each other.
The scene where Manatsu scolds Mayura (Oh! The sweetness of that scene! ♥), the scene where Mayura cries, and then Masumi & Manatsu gets revenge is in my opinion one of the best scene so far.

I've only seen the first episode, but I'd like to ask a spoiler question.

Does Miyuki eventually become less of a dick?

I don't mind an introverted lead who'll go out of her way to avoid confrontation, but adding a second character with a broomhandle up his butt whose only apparent job involves flinging psychological abuse in her face was a bit of a turn-off. Especially in the end when he got manipulative with everyone else but still took it out on her later.

Just curious what his character arc looks like so far.

Yes, that's who I meant, I guess. Although, this apparently shows how uninterested I am in seeing this one to the end. Not even the more interesting characters made enough of an impression on me to note their familial relationships with each other. Why so many people enjoy certain genres of anime than others do shows the breadth of the industry and it makes me glad some part of it can touch their hearts; it's the thing that keeps it all going. Far be it from me to actively try to discourage anyone from watching what they want to. Unfortunately, after just finishing the fourth ep on Hulu now, this particular series just isn't doing it for me personally, and I have so many others going this season that I just don't have time for them all. Please don't feel as though I am passing judgement on the viewers of the show, you like what you like, Shikata ga nai. I'll likely keep an eye on this thread to see if something ever develops later though. I wouldn't want to miss out on it if something amazing happens later and it was just slow to develop. It wouldn't be the first time my initial impressions were wrong about a show.

In my case, he's less irritating now compared to the previous episodes~

I agree. His character seems to be developing, and while he may not end up as totally sweet guy (or who knows, maybe he will), he gets less dickish and you start understanding why he was like that in the earliest episodes.
