Attack on Titan is shaping up to be a well crafted, beautiful, and amazing anime!! Watching the first two episodes makes me want to go read the manga right now! Its so fresh and different from so many other series out there. Devil Survivor is also interesting, even for a game turned manga turned anime.

Gargantia is kinda nice, AoT looks like it will be good, Valvrave looks like a shameless, not so well crafted Gundam clone, but if they do it right, it might end up pretty well. Devil Survivor and Oreimo 2 are eehhh.

Well, that's not going to happen. Funimation has the first, as well as the first Index, and is presently negotiating for the second Index. Those of us in North America are lucky that Funimation is simulcasting it. The only sequels of Funimation licenses that Crunchyroll has been given are those where Crunchyroll simulcast the original.

Hopefully one of these days Crunchyroll will regularly get licenses in parallel with Funimation ~ after all, Attack on Titan is the first one, other than sequels of series where Crunchyroll got the simulcast and Funimation picked up the license later.

But the horse has already left the barn for A Certain Scientific Railgun, so while you're dreaming, don't get your hopes up. Maybe one day relations with Funimation will have thawed enough for Crunchyroll to get the series as catalog titles.

After all, relations between the online media managers for Crunchyroll and Funimation seem to have become quite completely thawed out:

Honestly I'm impressed with the anime titles this time around. Winter felt kind of empty for me with so few titles I wanted to see, but Spring has so many it is crazy. I will give them this though, Winter didn't have much to offer for me in general. It was a sad season for me. Spring is pumping up though and CR managed to get every title I wanted to see! So once again cuddos to you CR and I look forward to your continued quality in the Summer season!

You take that back on Oreimo! It is a wonderful show that actually shows a good sibling relationship that isn't all about incest or two step/adopted siblings falling for each other. Get sick of that crap real fast and its nice to see something different. So shame on you for your eh. I agree with you on the other shows however. Valvrave though I don't think will go for that whole Gundam clone situation. Just hard for any show to show humaniod mechs fighting and someone not make a comment about it being a clone. Gundam just has been around for a long time and had so many styles and stories.

Doctor! We have a new patient! Unless you are watching only slice of life anime, you will get used to it sonner or later. And hating anime with mecha is like hating anime with laser pistols or with aliens. How about trying Full Metal Panic or if you are really allergic samething like Uchuu no Stellvia.

I'm curious about why Crunchyroll is a day or so behind on some titles - specifically I've noticed that Crime Edge and HenNeko are available at least 12 hours earlier via fan subbers. OreImo however seems to be available on CR before any fan subbers get hold of it.

I always groan when Funimation gets a simulcast - they quite often are a solid week behind on them... however they seem to be keeping up pretty well with Date A Live this season - in fact they had episode 3 before I saw any groups with it.

I also see both Funimation and Crunchyroll have Attack on Titan - haven't seen that happen before. Crunchyroll has had it out a couple days ahead of Funimation so far, as anticipated :P

Both CR and Funimation had Sora no Otoshimono: Forte as a simulcast.

I believe Funimation was a week behind on it, but that was likely due to CR having a one week exclusive for premium users and Funimation having no premium service at that time.

There were a couple of differences in that situation, however:

1. CR had the original series as a simulcast, while in the interim Funimation had licensed the original series and it had been removed from CR. 2. CR announced the simulcast before Funimation, whereas this time Funimation was first.
