Many of your series have dealt with issues of feminism and gender identity that don't often get serious treatment in anime. Do you consider yourself a feminist writer? And how have people in Japan reacted to these themes?

Have you ever used another anime as your inspiration when story writing?

What made you decide that writing stories for anime would be your career? Was this something you've wanted to do from the start or did you find yourself becoming more interested in it as you worked?

Out of all the stories you've written, which was your favorite?

I love Hanasaku Iroha and especially Blast of Tempest. Thanks for all the wonderful works. Also I have a question for such an amazing artist. My question is, "What did you want the audience to feel when you were writing such amazing pieces like Hanasaku Iroha? As what was the impression you wanted to express from this anime?" The work of Hanasaku Iroha is so beautifully animated and the story line too was magnificent. I just love it ^^

You've written in a wide variety of genres, from fantasy to horror to slice-of-life. What is it like writing for so many different genres? Which genres do you find most challenging, and which do you enjoy writing most?

Do you want to bring your stories to more parts of the world? In the UK we arent exposed to much anime and really only get the biggest releases, what do you think that anime/manga writers can do, if they want to help this at all

Hmmmm....
"When writing Hanasaku iroha, wondering son, blast of tempest and so on, there seems to be one thing that connects them; the protagonist understanding whom they are. And since the protagonists are all kinda young, were you in there shoes at that age-frame? Was finding the 'true' you something you look back on intently?

1. What was on your mind the moment you came up with the idea for Hanasaku Iroha? Where did that happen and what were you doing at that important moment? (I looove the anime!)

2. Do you like western music? What genres appeal to you? Any favorite band?

3. Are you a collector-type? Do you buy figures and stuff?

4. What's your dearest wish?

Good luck everyone

'How do you decide which parts to change and which parts to keep true to the manga when writing the script?'

and

'What is a typical day like in the anime industry?'

I hope these haven't been said yet, I didn't read through all of them. ^^;

Which of your creative works would you be most eager to continue writing for, for either the enjoyment of writing it or possible expansions on the story you would wish to make?

What is your biggest struggle within the anime industry, even after producing such amazing masterpieces?
What aspects around you do you take from in order to create a logic twisting story such as Blast of Tempest?

Both Hanasaku Iroha and AnoHana are well made anime series that are getting their own movies. How did you come up with the premises for each of their movies? After writing AnoHana mainly from Jintan's perspective, how difficult was it writing from Menma's?

When writing certain characters, you must have a mental image of who you would like to voice them. What voice actors have you predicted, and what voice actors have you been pleasantly surprised by?
