She turned around to walk away, stomach a jumble of nerves. Looking at her feet she walked and as she walked she saw that right there in front of her, it was. A sound came from within the shell and as she leaned forward she heard it ringing in her ears. Head spinning she fell forward into the sand trying to find a voice that's escaped her mind.

There was a young girl named Darie that went to the beach for the weekend.
Darie has always liked the beach; she loves the smell of the ocean.
The breeze was nice and the water looked amazing, she couldn't wait to get in.
As she was getting ready to step into the water she couldn't help but notice something shining upon the sand.
She saw a strange, magnificent object that didn't seem to belong.
The object had a strange texture...but mentally, it gave off a different feeling, a strange feeling: it made her feel gentle and weightless.
It gave her a unique energy that could not be found anywhere on earth.
Upon closer inspection, Darie realised that the object was in fact an ordinary looking spiral shell, apart from one thing; this shell was golden, and it seemed to call out to her...
She hasn't the slightest clue as to what may have beckoned her forth to find this mysterious, golden shell.
She moved closer, step by step and eventually felt the hard shell on her toe.
She picked it up, and then...A feeling of warmth spread through her body, and light started to pour from the shell in her hands, which made Darie realise...She had been dreaming this whole time, she was trapped in a dream she couldn't awake from.
This made Darie feel sad, so she threw the shell as far as she could back out into the ocean. She turned around to walk away, stomach a jumble of nerves. Looking at her feet she walked and as she walked she saw that right there in front of her, it was. A sound came from within the shell and as she leaned forward she heard it ringing in her ears. Head spinning she fell forward into the sand trying to find a voice that's escaped her mind

Struggling to fight this mysterious occurrence; Darie told herself this can't be real, this mustn't be real...

She kept telling herself that it wasn't true, but something told her that it was.

She couldn't move as she pleased; her body was moving on its own.

Her hand moved in the direction of the shell and as she was about to grab it, it was as if time stood still !

She stood frozen in time, when she turned her head and saw behind her the figure of a man, in a long black suit.

"That shell," he grunted as his eyes shot from the object to her, "I've been hunting for it... whatever you do, don't touch it again."

She panicked, frozen in terror. The man walked up to her, and took out a pistol, and pointed it at her head.
"That shell is not yours. If you ever use it again, I won't be nice enough to let you live."

"Moreover," he sighed as he lowered his weapon, "If you use it again, only half of us here will live."

The man walked over, and picked up the shell in a gloved hand. He looked at it, and then looked to the sea.

"I suppose you're new here," he remained with his back to her, eyes on the sea's horizon, "but let me give you this piece of advice: if something calls out to you in this place, be extremely wary of it and, better yet, avoid it all together."

The man looked back at her,
"I wish I had." He then looked to the sea, and slowly disappeared into the ocean.

Darie's eyes grew glassy as she saw the man disappear into the ocean. "How...." she muttered in shock.

Darie slowly remained control and time seemed to move again. As she tried to make sense of what had just happened, her eyelids grew heavy, and she slowly lost consciousness. When she awoke, she was in her bedroom with her worried parents over her.

"What happened?" Darie's mother asked.

(hey is Professor68 allowed to do that? instead of writing a sentence, he wrote a whole paragraph.)
