I didn't think they'd actually go for it, but I hoped, and I'm so glad they went this direction.

The two episodes tonight might have been some of the best episodes of either Avatar show I have seen.

Two of the best episodes in the entire franchise. Would much rather have had this be an entire season and got that rather than what we currently have, even with me enjoying what we have.

Last nights episodes made the entire season worth it. If they had decided to go with making a season with Wan as the avatar I personally think that would've gone better and others would've enjoyed it more than this current season with Kora. Looking forward to seeing if there is any more development between Jinora and the statue of Wan in the Southern Air Temple Sanctuary.

not really different from last season tbh

I mean honestly, that's how her character was written: To be brash, stubborn, thoughtless, and inconsiderate. I think what the writers were trying to do was create a female lead who was strong and had her own opinions while being a normal teenager.

Well, the ladies of A:TLA were strong and had their own opinions but they were far better acting than Korra. Then again, they all had sad things in their lives that forced them to mature early while Korra actually has a whole family and mastered bending at an early age while closed up in one area. Unlike Aang, all she ever wanted to be was the Avatar and she embraces that power and uses it however she wishes.

That's my take on it. I don't like her character, I don't like the romance, the plot isn't bad, the characters have little depth to them, but as a huge huge Avatar fan I'll watch all the way through to the fourth season.

Besides, the music, animation, and fighting/bending scenes are REALLY awesome.

I have to agree with this. I don't like her. I'm not sure I like the drama. It's doing absolutely NOTHING for me.

I like Bolin, I want to see more of Tennten and the more I watch this the more I think "Come on lets see more of what happened to Sokka's family" What happened to Zuko's family.

In other words, I don't care much for these new cast of characters but I as a fan of Avatar, I'll keep watching maybe something will pick up.

That special was possibly my favorite hour special in all of Avatar so far. It was awesome.

Just watched eps. 7&8 and I thought that the story was great, I loved learning about the origin of the avatar. Plus the art style of the Wan flashback was awesome.

I think episode 9 was pretty good. First time this season I'm looking forward to the next episodes. The story is starting to become serious since it has laid out the foundations with the previous episodes. I really didn't enjoy the first half of this season since there's no character growth and not to mention, there are lots of new characters whose purpose I didn't see until episode 9.

We finally have our villian who serves as a parallel figure to Fire Lord Ozai. There's still lots of room for improvement for this season especially since a number of points haven't been discussed. I really want to see Republic City and the Civil War to be more integrated. Right now, we're tackling them as two separate story arcs, which is understandable for now. I'm just hoping that they'll merge it somehow and make it seem like there's a greater evil in this grand scheme of things.

I totally did not expect to see Iroh back. But I am glad that they brought back an old character from the original series.
