All my life I had heard that you don't feel pain in dreams. Then when I was 13 or so I had a lucid dream (where you are aware you are dreaming). Some guy was about to hit me, and I thought to myself "This is just a dream, so it won't hurt." But then it did! Really bad! Since then I've had other dreams where I felt really nasty pain (usually non-lucid ones).

Do you ever feel pain in dreams, or are they always pain-free?

No, I don't remember feeling in pain in any of my dreams. I have had plenty of nightmares where I thought I would feel pain the dream, but did not. I find it interesting that you have felt pain in a dream.

For me, I have never felt physical pain in my dreams and also no deaths, but I did feel emotional pain and pure evil in some of them. That was the Demon Mara/Satan just fucking with me.

I had a dream I got hit by a bus and it was pretty painful. I woke up with a head ache.

I had a nightmare where died in a dream once. It has back when I was 12 and every time I thought back to it, it freaked me the hell out. It was kind of weird though because after it happened in the dream, I watched the entire scene in a 3rd person view

When you sleep, you're still in pain you just won't feel it.
But, when you sleep, your mind gives like an image to why your pain happened. It's not the dream, you've just been in pain and didn't feel it until the dream.

Happened to me when I got the flu overnight. Worst burning in a volcano ever,

I was once shot in the left temple - in a dream ^^ the pain felt real and was so intense I can feel it even now, ten years from that night.

Biggest pain i felt was falling in love with someone in a dream, then waking up and realizing it was someone impossible. Heart break :/

I dream like this pretty much every time I go to sleep. And it always ends up I can feel everything in them as if it were real. They can affect me for the rest of the day.
