I was always a android user til the beginning of this year and got the 5. I love the switch, I feel that androids have too many programs and extras that are useless that slows the phone down. iPhone simply does everything I need no more no less. Easy interface and limited customization means a fast phone even if specs are subpar. My androids would always freeze time to time and lag is noticeable, while iOS opens programs fast and easy, to the point. And the design on the iPhone is unbeatable, more apps, best music player, and all the goodies that's made for it (cases, bags, docks, etc). Once you get the above through your head, I'm sure you won't feel douchey.

i have one! i don't feel like a douche at all. if anyone wants to label me as one because i have a certain type of phone then... i'm probably not the asshole in that situation. as long as you're not going out of your way to be a snob then you really have no worries!

it really is a great phone for the reasons i use it. the os is comfortable and familiar to me since i've had an itouch for years prior, it's accessible, the app selection is great, the media player is the best you'll find on a phone, plus apple's customer support is always wonderful in the off chance something goes wrong (i've only had mine for about 5 months but there have been absolutely no problems.) there's no doubt that there are things that an android phone can probably do better, but that doesn't detract from the fact that the iphone is a very, very solid device.

So many people have iPhones now, and not just the Apple zealots, is there really any d-bag factor left?

Just recently upgraded my 2-year contract with AT&T and bought an iphone5. I was always an Android user until some of friends where having OS bugs and glitches with theirs, so I just decided to try out the iphone. it's a great phone, but for some reason every time I whip-out my phone out of my pocket, can't help but feel like a douch bag. Does anyone else feel the same? opinions and or comments..

I got an iPhone 5 this last Christmas. At first I didn't like taking it out in front of my friends who had an other phones because I didn't want them thinking I was showing off, but I don't really care anymore. Almost everyone I know and see has an iPhone now so it doesn't really matter. I had a Galaxy S before and the iPhone is a lot easier to use. That's why I love it.

There was this girl though that I used to have as a friend on Fb who was FILTHY rich and she would always be showing off her iPhone, car, etc. One time she posted a status that said something like "My parents just bought me three iPhone 5s!!" She wasn't bluffing either because she brought them all to school. Wtf do you need three iPhones for? Anyway just as long as you aren't doing what she did. lol

Well I can't tell if there is/should be anything to feel like a douche cause of it. But my story is simple.
I had iPhone 3GS for some time. Tho I managed to break it in accident (had that exact phone from few weeks after release). Well anyways few weeks ago I got mine iPhone 5.

I chose it only because I'm used to it. It fits my needs and thats all. I feel comfortable with it. So if it suits anyhow your needs and you like using it even a bit then forget about that douche feeling. It's the other thing if you don't like the phone itself.

But you should remember that having whatever kind of phone is not making your personality or anything different. Its just a gadget you use and there is good to be variety to chose from just because different people got different tastes and needs.

Tho I admit that iTunes works bad most of times etc.
+Androids are awesome too.

I will repeat myself once again but iPhone suits my needs! Thats it and simple as that! So whoever thinks about you as douche (if even does), is probably one himself.

I still have the iPhone 4 but eligible for an upgrade so trying to decide between the iPhone 5, Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note II, and HTC One. In my experience with both Android and iOS environments, it seems the apps receive more support and tend to run smoother in the iOS, but I do like the giant 5 inch screens. Can't decide...
