Currently:

1. Titan
2. Gargantia
3. Oreimo

I haven't really been following any of the shows lately though -- I'll catch up after finals.

All-time:

I've got 4 that I can't rank at all (tie for 1st), and at least 13 that I'd consider "favorites." I think I'll pass on this one.

1. Gargantia of the Verdorous Island

2.

3.

I do recognize the quality Titans has but its not my favorite .

I dont have a top 2 becuase I have favorites from different genre of anime in the past . like Psycho Pass, Sakamichi no Appolon, Macross Frontier and more.

Current (Or recent) favorites:

1. Girls Und Panzer
I don't know why, but this show is awesome. I wish I could convince my friends to give it a shot...
2. Henneko
At this point it's the new show that I'm enjoying the most.
3. Oreimo
The most recent episodes have been a little lacking, but the first season is enough to give it a bump into the top 3.

All time favorites:
1. Nichijou
I have watched this through 3 times already and I plan to again. If that doesn't make it a favorite I don't know what does.
2. Haruhi Suzumiya series
Another that I've seen several times. After watching the movie I went through it again, and I had a whole new appreciation for it.

This list probably says a lot about me... >_>

I wouldn't worry too much about it - that's sorta the name of the game with these lists, I imagine. Besides, you've got nothing to be ashamed of, some of your peers like Oreimo!

AM I RIGHT?!??!?!?!

Just kidding.

1) Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet
Funny thing about this show is that conceptually, it's wildly derivative. It's directly pulling militarism/citizenship from Starship Troopers (along with mechs, of course, but w/e), galactic human exodus from Battlestar Galactica (itself pretty derivative), the unbeknownst return to Earth from Planet of the Apes, a water world from, well, Water World, and a bunch of other stuff from, you know, a bunch of other stuff.

It's still one of my favorite shows this season, and it's simply because it's so damn competent. There's hardly a face-palm moment, which is saying something, given how this show rests solidly in the 15-year-olds-in-gnarly-machines brand of shonen. It's well-animated and everyone is both clearly realized and emotionally reasonable. I'm someone who has a hard time with shonen, and I find this show legit anyway.

2) Hataraku Maō-sama
It's a lot of fun. Again, the characters are surprisingly well-realized for a show so clearly built around a central conceit... and the conceit is already really fun. Adding fuel to the fire is how the show basically represents the life of post-grads, for all their inept glory (well, some of them, at least).

3) Toaru Kagaku no Railgun
It's just so damn fun!

This is really a season of enjoyable entertainment, part of the old school of popcorn cinema that's about bread and circuses and, damn it, a fun time for the family. Admittedly, I haven't seen Attack on Titan, and I hear that's pretty metal, but w/e.

I found the rotoscoping for Aku no Hana interesting, but I've read the manga, and boy does it wear well-worn boots.

To ponder favorites out of so many great shows is difficult, so I'm going with the ones that also carry some sort of nostalgia value:

1) Kare Kano
So the show has great dialogue and characters, yada yada yada. But it's also a fascinating artistic endeavor, replete with post-modernist frames and flourishes that I had never before seen coupled with an entirely realistic setting. It's one of the first animes I watched seriously, and it made me realize how artistically expressive the (supra)genre could be.

2) The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
There are a lot of great shows. This is one of the first ones that made me think shows about high schoolers could say something about our conception of the world (along with the equally great Revolutionary Girl Utena). It's thematically/emotionally layered, which is to say, it aint just pretty or goofy, it's worth revisiting.
