American Flyer electric train set at age 5. Smith-Miller semi-truck with semi-trailer I got for Christmas at age 4 (still have this one). Smith-Miller 2-axle flatbed truck with Dump Shovel as a separate construction item which it hauled around. Smith-Miller garbage truck that worked. The bin was a toy chest for years( still this truck). Pedal car at age 6. Tricycle at age 3 which I used to ruin a freshly beginning to dry concrete floor under construction in a mill house near Monkton, Md (I remember doing that too). Erector Set when I was 6 which I seldom played with. Getting extra parts for that set was expensive. Atomic Cannon plastic Army rig which could shoot missile shaped projectiles across the room at age 11. Great fun, that, as I destroyed a lot of toys that had fallen from favor by then. Oodles and oodles of Tootsie Toy trucks and cars as well as Dinky Toy English cars. I was a lonely only, never lost or destroyed hardly anything I treasured. Sharing wasn't a problem either. I did have friends and we would play together but since I was a military brat then I never was stationed anywhere any length of time to form long lasting ones. Got into model plane building (Revell was my favorite company, Monogram made a great B-17, Renwal and Aurora...so-so) around age 9 when we were stationed in New Orleans. Most of this plunder survived when I graduated to other things (bicycle, car, etc) until my 2nd cousin came of age and found my stash stored in my uncle's attic. While I might have been a constructionist, he was a de-constructionist. I think you can figure out the outcome of the rest of this little tome.

Nice thread.

Micromachines.

Happy days.

Light years ahead of the Gameboy, shame about the 30 minutes or so battery life on 6AA batteries... Socket required. You could watch TV on it as well. Still great games.

I used to collect the bionicle lego toys, I remember owning them as if it were yesterday. Must have collected the first three sets, then sold them.
