It's a clip from a 2012 movie called Lockout. A man is being interrogated and he refuses to cooperate, despite being beaten. In fact, the man deliberately goads his captors.

Ah..I see thanks for shining light on it for me...I watched the movie, but I almost never remember scenes from movies.

Be killed. I'd rather someone take my life, than take someone's.

I think most people would press the red button, there are more selfish people out there....

Knowing myself, I would be traumatized by the experience. I would press the red button just because my survival instincts and indifference call for it since it is a stranger, someone I shouldn't feel sorry for (I'd tell that in my mind at that moment) I would not hesitate to press the blue button if it is a member of my family...I would still think it twice if it is a friend.

But in the end, by choosing the red button and getting free, my consciousness would not leave me alone and I'd kill myself out of remorse.

I'd rather kill the bastard doc. That way I could atone slightly in that I'd know he'd never hurt anyone again. The other thing is put all the blame on the doc. he's the one who set the stupid scenario up. Why should you be responsible for HIS game?

Red button. Red button is a logical human decision. Survival is your first priority. If you press the blue button there is something seriously wrong with you.

Don't kid yourself. This isn't some TV drama. You would shit yourself and press red too. Really think about the situation instead of just milking your own sense of justice.

The dilemma it seems to be at first is very different from what it is when you actually read to the end of the post; it's actually just the Prisoner's Dilemma, except the only outcomes are the binary die/survive, making it immediately obvious you should co-operate - that is, press the blue button.

That said, I think the other hypothetical, that some people think they're answering here, is a lot more interesting because it's a bit more novel. The answer is obviously and immediately yes, but what if you ease the pressure a little? What if you'd only lose your leg? What if you'd only have your favourite possession destroyed? At what point do we become unwilling to kill random strangers to protect things we like? How much more do we value ourselves than we value others? Just how evil exactly are we all?

Also consider: There are life-saving charities in the world that we're not giving to, and we're buying PS4s and X-bones instead. Are we already guilty of killing random strangers to sate our greed?

Red, I don't mind killing someone. Everyone dies in the end anyway.
