That's her shikai.
Her bankai is still unknown, but I could be wrong
since I don't (and never will) read the manga.

Just a heads up to the large number of reports for this thread for some reason...

It doesn't go in general discussion, and it isn't a "personal" question. It is a question about a character in an anime so it definitely goes in the anime section and I am also going to allow it. That said you will never get an answer because as far as I know she has never actually gone and used her Bankai regardless of whether she talked about it or not. So literally no one knows other than Tite Kubo who likely has never bothered coming up with it in the first place.

Unless it has been shown off in one of the newest chapters??? I gotta admit after the Aizen thing resolved I couldn't bring myself to care enough to keep reading it, and I barely managed to force myself to get that far....

Unohana's bankai is called Minazuki just like her shikai but it is spelled using different characters making it a play on words. The bankai spelling translates into "All things end" and it appears as a sword covered in some sort of black viscous and most likely deadly substance. As to what it specifically does we aren't told and may never know for certain, although its entirely possible it does nothing more than make her blade more deadly considering that she is

Based on what was shown in the manga her bankai seems to have the ability to kill and bring back to life anyone she uses it on. I base this on the fact that when she uses it in the manga her opponent turns into a skeleton, but doesn't die and returns to normal shortly after. Unohanna also mentions that her wish was to be able to fight at full strength without killing everyone, so her bankai seems to allow her to do that. It not said whether the effect of the bankai is physical or psychological like Aizens.

Could very well be since her Shikai does posess the ability to heal. Although we can't forget that the fact that Unohana is an incredible healer in her own right and she may have learned to heal in the first place for the same reason that Kenpachi wears himself, which is to be able to prolong fights.

Its also been said as early as the Soul Society arc(by Hanataro) when Kenpachi was first introduced that he can't be killed and just returns to life stronger than he was before. Unohana restated this point recently as well. That could very well just be hyperbole based on his legendary strength, but it could also very well be true considering its coming from Unohana.

There's an interesting connection now that I've just connected the dots thinking about this. When Hanataro freaks out telling Ganju(I think it was him he warned) about Kenpachi being unable to killed when he heard Ichigo was going to encounter him way back in the series, I'm pretty sure that that he learned that tidbit/rumor at some point due to the fact that hes in Unohana's division and she said something about it at some point in her division and he learned it from there.

That's a good point I assumed it was Unohana's bankai that was doing the healing, but it could also be Kenpachi's power. I also wonder if the healing might not be the start of Kenpachi's own bankai. The same way that Ichigo was able to tap into Zangetzu's power when he fought Zenpachi, perhaps Kenpachi began to tap into his own swords power subconsciously while he fought Unohana. I guess until Kudo decides to give out more information it will be mostly speculation, which at this point might be what he wants so he can have a big reveal later on.
