Neil Gaiman will be at Comic-con this year.

Don't worry, we're plotting your demise, Demon.

I wouldn't expect another decade, were I you.

Well, now I know to expect it.
I see a few more centuries on the horizon for me.

People die around you every second of every day... Do you mean you wouldn't want to live forever because everyone you currently know would eventually die? What if they didn't have to die? What if they had the opportunity to live forever just like you? If they couldn't how could you be so sure you wouldn't find new people to befriend and to love? People are far to anxious to be put in the ground...

I say if people are so anxious to meet loved ones in the after-life (in-which there is no guarantee there is one) why not just off themselves and get it over with? Let the rest of us enjoy life...

Everyone you befriend would die.

I wouldn't prefer that. I would rather just live an average ol' lifespan.

Even if that wasn't the case, living forever would be so boring.

Do I still age? I would have to live an infinite amount of years senile. That's hell. Dying, although terrifying, is probably for the best.

Yeah, I'd hate it. I'd hate living forever too. Both are awful, but dying when everyone else is normal is worse.

Although I would like to live for a long time, I'd rather focus on today. I want to try to have as much fun as possible and get as much work done as possible. I don't know when I'll die, so I'll keep living. I may be a fool, but I want to be a happy fool.

And what makes you think you weren't lied to? You need more experience in dealing with the denizens of hell, my dear boy.

A lot more interesting than in this century, to be honest.
