I don't think he does, because I don't think he understands what being the Hokage is.

It was his dream when he was a kid because he was being avoided like the plague and he knew being Hokage comes with a level of respect and admiration.

He now has not only the respect of the entire villiage, he also has the utmost respect and friendship of the Raikage, Tsuchikage and obviously the Kazekage(something no Hokage could boast) Not to mention probably every other Ninja currently fighting the
.

We've seen it from time to time with Tsunade, that the position of Hokage is 99% paperwork(and 1% drinking and gambling lol) Even during the war, Tsunade, the Raikage and the Mizukage didn't enter the battlefield until there was an opponent only they stood a chance against.

I very much doubt Naruto would be content doing paper work while sending his subordinate Ninja out to risk their lives on missions and if some other war does eventually break out, there is no way he will sit behind a desk and issue orders like the Hokage needs to do.

He should just aim for special jounin, who get the highest rank missions and be content to protect the village without the coat and hat

i think by the time Naruto wants to becomes Hokage he would have matured a lot and have learnt a lot .

Naruto still got long to go before he is capable of being the Hokage.
p.s.
i don't think Naruto is the type to give up on his dreams
BELIEVE IT.

Of course I do, one aspect of this show is accomplishing dreams, and Naruto has never been a person to back out from his dreams.

He may not shout it out all the time but I think when the time comes that he is ready for Hokage that he will take it.

He should, yes. And it's not like he's not saying he wants to be Hokage anymore. He wants that position just as much now as he did in episode 1.

I don't think you're getting what I mean. Naruto has said he wants to be Hokage to get everyone's acknowledgement, which he now has, and protect the Leaf, which he could do more directly NOT being Hokage. He doesn't understand what a Hokage is 99% of the time, he's only thinking about that hour where Minato died to protect everyone and the hour where the 3rd died to stop Orochimaru while completely ignoring all the politics and paper work it actually involves day in and day out.

He's a 16 year old boy, of course he doesn't' understand but that doesn't mean he still doesn't want to persue his dream. There's still plenty of time for him to grow and mature. I mean look at Kakashi, he was a little snot but he's grown up and become a wonderful shinobi. There's still hope for Naruto, believe it.

Well, if it isn't obvious, of course he does.
I think that you THINK he shouldn't want the position anymore, because you state all these examples of how much hokage is paperwork, and your perspective is that he isn't fit for that.
It's not about what he'll be doing as hokage, it's about being the highest ranked, most respected ninja in his village. That's what he wants.

Naruto did mention the amount of things he will change in the village when he does become Hokage. so, sitting behind a desk doing paperwork may be a thing of the past.

Perhaps he will mature by then and just give in, like when Tsunade first became Hokage. Maybe hire an assistant to do it for him? This is Naruto we're talking about. He'll find a way around it.
