You mean a beautiful, brilliant, autistic blonde artist is winning over a b-ball player...

If Sakurasou wins then I'll be happy. Shinsekai Yori winning its round and Kokoro Connect still being in it makes me happy, Tari Tari is long out and that makes me sad too. Those were my 4 favorites of 2012.

I can live with Space Brothers making it further too. It is a good show, just slow at points for me.

Sakurasou's victory will be short lived however as I expect, sadly that Fate/Zero will win... so the current battle probably doesn't even matter in the long run.

Sakurasou no Petto na Kanojo because I love how Mashiro, Sorata, Nanami, Misaki, Jin, Rita, Ryuunosuke, Yuuko were all striving to be the best artists, game designers, programmers, voice actresses, screen writers and little sisters that they could be. And keeping their beloved Sakura Hall open, a place where they could have hot pot parties, pantsu selection time, bathroom misunderstandings, they could work on their amazing interactive Nyaboron game, work on their dreams, their hopes, become romantically involved, get married, laugh, cry, and we got to laugh and cry along with them all the way!

Going to go with Fate/Zero 2.

Basically, the series hit most of the notes right for me with the ongoing grail war. Speaking of which, the action in the sequel contains more violence and faster pacing especially in the beginning. I'm not too sure about the resolution though but the series definitely stood out above most of the others imo from the Spring Season of 2012. From my review regarding the animation of the series:

Yuki Kaijura and her work is also noticeable in this sequel as well regarding the soundtrack of the series. Pretty enjoyable for me.

Fate/Zero 2

I like it more than Sakurasou. Do I really have to explain why at this point? Lol I do really like that show, but once I have to review it I just get so frustrated.

On the other hand, Fate/Zero just does so little wrong, if you like the concept to begin with its hard to really fault it for anything. So yeah, my criticism list would go like this:

Bad:
Very little, just a few bits here and there.

Good:
Just about everything.

If I had to fault Fate/Zero for one thing, it's that the pure enjoyment value doesn't hold up to how impeccable the writing seems to be.

Fate / Zero 2 gets my vote.

Fate Zero has Amazing Animation, Awesome Sounds track, and overall just better.
One of the few shows that has nothing to do with an high school student.
Fate Zero deserves to be the best of 2012

Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo is just an above average romance comedy at best.
With a lot of cliche that can be found in the same genre, while Fate zero is unique in it's own way.

Kuroko no Basket lost..... Oh well I knew it was going to happen.

Fate/Zero 2

Easy pick is easy. Haven't seen Sakurasou but no matter what it won't win against Fate/Zero. I loved Fate/Zero. It was mature, no high-school things in it at all (and thank god there wasn't!). Music was great but it's Yuki Kajiura so no surprise. The animation was excellent! Ufotable did amazing job! I personally love history and every kind of legends, so that made it even better. Of course it had some flaws like the anticlimatic ending. I also loved the darkness and tragicness it had! Gen Urobuchi did good job as always. The second season had some really good action in it. The characters were really great too. Everyone was different. Personally I think Fate/Zero is one of the best animes there is.

My feeling will guide me through this decision.

Lets vote for pet girl. Because fate stay night somewhat oversold fate zeros ending and it did not deliver.

WATER Final
As with Kuroko no Basket, I automatically have to give my vote has to go to Sakurasō no Pet na Kanojo.

I felt that the story was pretty solid and that Mashiro's, Misaki's (and the little time that Yuko had) antics made the story more enjoyable at times. The first OP Kimi ga Yume o Tsuretekita was always getting me into the mood of the show.

I didn't love either show, but I liked The Pet Girl of Sakurasou more. The second season of Fate/Zero was an improvement over the first season and its festival of exposition, but I never once felt like the result of the Holy Grail War was in doubt. Very little in the show caught me off guard. Stuff happened because you felt it was destined to happen, not because the characters shaped their fate (hey, maybe that's why it's called Fate/Zero!). In The Pet Girl of Sakurasou, the characters drove the story, and I liked that because the story felt fluid, and it helped me sympathise with the characters.
