I vote for Psycho Pass for one reason only ....

Kokoro Connect couldn't finish w/o a special 4 episodes cause the company making the anime was full of asshats.

I really did love how Kokoro explored how each persons environment and perspective can shape an individual and the many little twists and turns the anime took....

The four extra BD only episodes of Kokoro Connect were planned from the start. It was unplanned that they were broadcast at all, a lucky break.

And the seiyuu they made a joke about... They gave him a role in those final four episodes so I think they made up for it even though it was totally blown out of proportion.

I wish Kokoro Connect would get a second season. It deserves one IMO. My vote for sure.

Shinsekai yori
It has yaoi.
Plus, Space Brothers will have a better chance against it I think

Sakurasou

Both great shows, I just enjoyed Sakurasou a bit more because it was consistently good throughout whereas Shinsekai Yori started slow and dropped a tiny bit towards the end.

Let's pray for Space Bros. to beat Psycho-Pass first.

My vote goes to The Pet Girl of Sakurasou

Flawless interaction between characters, amazing dialogues, explored unique themes and issues. I feel like I'm living inside the characters, seeing things from their point of view.

Whereas Shinsekai yori, I just can't connect with the characters, I don't see why they do this or that, it's not smooth... things are too slow. The interaction between the characters does not pique my interests.

My point goes to Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo (The Pet Girl of Sakura Hall) because (I want to start by saying, I voted for it the last time, and my rationale isn't going to be any different than it was then ) I think that it was a very solid exemplification of what happens when hard work meets talent. I've gone to school for years with a lot of people more talented in some things than I am, with a lot of people who worked harder in some things than I did, and I've seen and experienced how overwhelming it can be to get stuck in that divide and hopeless it can often make someone feel. Additionally, I think the show's just plain hilarious, so yeah: point to Sakurasou!!

Shinsekai Yori

Haven't seen Sakurasou. I've seen only about 10 episodes of Shinsekai Yori but I will vote for it anyway. I like Shinsekai Yori. It has interesting concept and characters. I like how it shows the future like that. I also like the little creepiness it has and I absolutely love the art style it has. Also a plus because of the yaoi in it!

Didn't think that Psycho-Pass would win against Kokoro Connect! But I fear that Psycho-Pass will get crushed tomorrow....... and probably will.

Shinsekai yori

Sakurasou didn't have a big impact like Shinsekai Yori.

Shin Sekai Yori

Hmmm, I'm running out of different things to say about either of these shows. A simple comparison list, shall we? Not necessarily an "X did this better than Y," but a list of things it did right.

The Pet Girl of Sakurasou:
Characters (SSY only had about 3 interesting characters)
Heartwarming
Funny
Character interactions/relationships
Art quality (no off-model, and nice and colorful)
Script in general (SSY never did come across as very personal)
Awesome ending (redeemed the parts if the show I didn't like)

Shin Sekai Yori:
Art Direction
Concept
Soundtrack was awesome
Atmosphere
Plot (despite pacing issues)
Themes, and how they were explored
Mind screw (and how)
Awesome ending

Both are amazing shows, but Shin Sekai Yori is much more TrueGoober-appropriate. It's really just my preference.

Shinsekai Yori
Don't get me wrong I LOVED Sakurasou, but just a couple days ago I began watching Shinsekai Yori. For the first time in awhile, I was able to decide 10 minutes in that I had begun a truly amazing series. Aside from a few small issues I have with it, it's one of the best things I have seen in awhile.

Somewhat difficult choice for me but I'll go with Shinsekai Yori because Sakurasou no Pet Kanojo's pacing kinda got irritating for me in the latter half although it did manage to brings itself back together at the very end. On the other hand, Shinsekai Yori is unique with its concept, powerful visuals, insightful characters, and in general a series that I'll remember by for a long time.

Pet Girl gets my vote.

As I've stated before, I enjoyed watching the maturation of the Sakurasou residents but most of all Mashiro. The constant failures Sorata had at trying to create a game (and the annoying treatment he gave Mashiro in the late middle of the anime). The last several episodes were very good and drew me in wanting more.

SSY definitely had its dramatic moments and some of the characters were Intereting but from episode 10 onward I was disappointed and there was several time jump gaps as the story progressed to the end and even near the end I had questions about events that were unfilled by the final episode. I wouldn't mind reading the LN on SSY because it sounded like from the thread things would be explained better but I still cannot give it enough to pass Pet Girl.
