So glad chrome_mist is back and so is the battle! One vote decided the last round!. I'm a little surprised at all the very close votes we've seen in many of the rounds. Keeps things interesting.

Space Brothers
I was expecting that at some point I would be able to get away with my Space Brothers differentiating reason being "adults." But I guess that won't work this time.

This should have been a harder choice for me because I really, really like dystopian sf, but although I enjoyed watching PP and did have a number of moments (especially after episode 11) where I was very interested in what would happen next, my looking forward to the resolution kind of dissolved in the final episodes, and I was mostly thinking "yada, yada, just end already." Most of what I did not like about Psycho Pass is captured above in AHTL's post.

But I also have quite a liking for the mundane or things that ride along closely beside mundane. Space Brothers, in spite of all that time in the desert and the recaps, retains my affection. Those are really the only things about this show that I haven't liked. I like the characters; I like the pacing; I like that for the most part the comic and dramatic moments have been close to real life. When I started watching it I was surprised that I was liking it because the first word that came to my mind about it was "sweet." I don't like sweet. Space Brothers captured my heart anyway, and as I've watched and watched I see that yes, it's rather sweet but it's not too sweet.

Wb Chrome!

Well, my pick is Psycho Pass since I haven't seen Space Brothers yet. The series had a brilliant theme with a kick ass soundtrack and cast of characters I liked. I'll probably watch Space Brothers later this year.

Space Brothers

Psycho Pass didn't live up to my expectations. I found it to be dull towards the end.

On the other hand, Space Brothers is a beautiful Slice of Life anime and even through 60 episodes it hasn't had a dull moment. I sure hope this anime takes the title as the best anime of 2012.

My vote goes to Psycho-pass.

As a fan of the sci-fi genre, Psycho-pass is more of my type of anime. They're both sci-fi, it's just Pyscho is more full on sci-fi, while Space Bros is more drama with a sci-fi component.
Examples, in Psycho, there are stuffs like holographic clothes and the job aptitude placement system. Whereas in Space Bros, even though it's set in the future, the technology and the system are similar to what it is like in present times... besides the technology on the Moon and the parachute thing.

I vote for Space Brothers because space is awesome and Apo is a better dog than the one in Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Space Brothers... forever <3 60 episodes in and it still manages me make me get the warm and fuzzy feeling. Not many anime can do that for me. It's got that perfect blend of storytelling, pacing and character development (except for the dreaded desert of recaps).

I vote for Space Brothers. When this anime first came out the premise of someone who had an office job being able to become an astronaut was amazing to me. Very motivational. The story is very good, and it keeps on getting better. The characters are all great, even the minor ones. The fact that they used a real astronaut in the anime was pretty awesome as well. I believe they even recorded some of his parts while he was on the ISS.

Hands down my vote goes to Space Brothers.

Psycho-Pass

I still have yet to see Space Brothers, but I'll get around to it eventually. Anyway, Psycho-Pass was one of my favourites from last year. The storyline was great and the characters were good too - although I can't say I liked the main character much until later on.

Not a vote.

Sitting this one out because I haven't seen Space Brothers yet and Psycho-Pass is overrated. I still haven't forgiven it for beating Nisemonogatari.

Psycho Pass gets my vote

I watched Space Brothers for two months before having to drop anime for a little while last summer. When I came back in the fall to pick up everything I left unfinished I had forgotten I was even watching Space Brothers. It was never more than a passive interest for me. Psycho Pass was entirely more engaging and I probably could not have dropped that show even if I tried.
