4 - Black★Rock Shooter - I'm surprise at the general disappointment in this show. I thought that everything came together well and the fight scenes were marvellously intricate.
3 - Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita - This show puts together a solid definition of quirky. Those chickens... that island... the quasi-horror ending. xD Oh, and the way the lighting was drawn reminded me of Wind Waker.
2 - Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! - I legitimately enjoyed this show, but the only reason I watched it was because I lol'd way too hard at this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K9O1TMJyhmw Otherwise, I would have steered clear of the gooey moe rom com. I've already seen too many of those.
1 - Kuroko no Basuke - I watched four episodes before deciding this was an anime just not for me.

4. Kuroko no Basuke - I like sports anime, it was a nice addition to the spring lineup in 2012. I enjoyed it a lot, the plot was also interesting and fun.
3. Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita - This show was interesting in it's own right. The plot was very peculiar, but it made watching it enjoyable.
2. Chuunibyou - It was made by KyoAni and it was a pleasure to watch.
1. Black Rock Shooter - never watched it.

Just wanted to point out that it sold more than Jormungand, and twice as much as Kokoro Connect, which you voted the best in both of their battles. Regardless of its sales, the show wasn't very good. However, I don't really think you can call it a flop based on the info I've seen, let alone a major flop. Especially since, given that the character designs and art are pretty cool, I'd guess it probably sold a lot of merchandise in addition. I'm not going to verify any of this, but I'd guess that the producers probably made a bit of money on the project, which makes me think that calling it a flop, let alone a major flop, would be wrong. In addition, it isn't really even relevant is it? I mean, based on my experience, how much a show sells makes absolutely NO difference to whether I like it. Anyway: rant over -- I'm fine with saying the show sucked (With exception to the visuals, I'd agree), and it may have been a flop, but I doubt it based on what I've seen, and the information I've gotten from the thread.

If you consider the promo and hype it had, barely passing 4k is a major flop.
Didn't it also get promoted by being associated with Japan's biggest popstar, Hatsune Miku, as well?

Jormungand and Kokoro Connect were barely promoted.
TV ratings were so-so, no additional merchandise to boost sales, etc.
When BTR came out, I thought it was going to be the next Haruhi Suzumiya,
until it flopped sales-wise and impact-wise. No one even remembers it now.

Also, I didn't claim anything about low sales = bad anime.
I just had to laugh at the sales.

4. Zetsuen no Tempest, great music, serious first half and then a rom com last half, quite enjoyable
3. Natsuyuki Rendezvous, great start, muddy middle and rushed ending but still enjoyable
2. Natsumi Yuujinchou shi, people, spirits, who can tell?
1. Tsuritama, boys fishing, not enough.

Ah, so you mean hype vs. sales makes it a flop. Fair enough -- I'll agree with that. And I guess if you consider how hyped it was the sales might be considered pretty laughable. It was a pretty damn disappointing as a show. Although, the artbook was pretty cool (it had Steins;Gate art too though, so I'm totally happy it was made. lol)

[ 4 ] Natsume Yuujinchou Shi - Whatever season it is, Natsume Yuujinchou NEVER fails to deliver. It was probably my favorite anime of Winter 2011-2012.
[ 3 ] Zetsuen no Tempest - Good animation and okay story-telling. What I liked most about this show are the characters. They're not original but they worked out pretty well.
[ 2 ] Tsuritama - Because I love AHTL.
[ 1 ] Natsuyuki Rendezvous - This anime started out great. It had so much potential to be a great drama / slice-of-life anime. The last bits ruined it for me.

4. Zetsuen no Tempest (Because the brilliance of having a beach scene in every episode for the first half at least)
3. Natsuyuki Rendezvous, (Because good start, but didn't go entirely as expected, still kind of surreal being in a book though)
2. Natsumi Yuujinchou shi, (Because I just started this one last week, and haven't finished yet)
1. Tsuritama, (Because it just didn't keep my interest enough to finish it)

1. Natsume Yuujinchou- The only anime to make me tear up every episode from the sheer beauty of the episode.
2. Zetsuen no Tempest- Pretty decent show, haven't finished it but I gotta give it props for the nice art.
3. Tsuritama- Haven't seen it, but it's been recommended to me.
4. Natsuyuki Rendezvous: I have never heard of this anime.

This was tough because there was nothing I absolutely disliked.

4. Tsuritama - It was pretty and sweet and fun. Plus, alien powers make people dance.

3. Natsume Yuujinchou Shi - I've been thinking about watching this but never got around to it, so it gets this spot only because I've heard good things, though I don't yet have an opinion of my own.

2. Natsuyuki Rendezvous - I liked the first few episodes a lot, but
it just didn't work for me in the end and I was relieved when the show was finally over.

1. Zetsuen no Tempest - I feel a little bad about dropping this into last spot, but reality is, I dropped it after the first few episodes because it wasn't capturing my interest, though it felt like it might have if...I'm not sure what, but there does seem to be an if. (Maybe it just wasn't holding up well due to me watching other things I liked better and being less willing to spending more time watching anime--which I seem to be quite willing to do this season for some reason.)

Wow, odd anime won over Kuroko xD
Oh well, at least Kuroko moves on.

4. Tsuritama (Only one of these I've watched. It has cute boys in it. Hilarious plot. Great soundtrack)
3. Natsuyuki Rendezvous (Well I've watched 2 epsiodes of this one, so I'll put it here)
2. Natsume Yuujinchou Shi (Has the best average score between my friends on MAL)
1. Zetsuen no Tempest (Haven't watched, least average between my friends on MAL)
