Prediction: Nisemonogatari and Sword Art Online will advance.

not sure, from your post 4 people 5 if you include yourself have axed sao XD

I figured SAO would have a bigger fandom. I don't mind it going this way, though.

It's a bit tough; in other line-ups I could see all four of these titles progressing. And more people are voting for SSY than I expected, which makes me happy. I think it got a lot of unfair flack for simply using unusual character/plot tropes.

If Nisemonogatari and Shin Sekai Yori advance I'll be very happy.

4 - Sword Art Online (I thoroughly enjoyed this series, especially the romance, setting, and characters, minus the second antagonist.)
3 - Shin Sekai Yori (This series has a fantastic plot - eventually - and one of the best soundtracks I've listened to in anime, and that's saying something! Unfortunately, it suffers from having a first half that is very difficult to get into, some very awkward scenes, and some subpar visuals.)
2 - Dusk Maiden of Amnesia (I have not seen this yet, but it's in my queue.)
1 - Nisemonogatari (I have not seen this either. My hesistance to even put this in my queue is due to several reviews/reports read that mention a good number of very inappropriate material that go beyond its predecessor Bakemonogatari, which I also have not seen.)

Dude... If you don't watch anime with some "inappropriate" material in it, there really isn't all that much of anything out there for you... But, since that's your choice and you are truly offended by such things, then for sure do not bother to watch any of the monogatari shows...

Nisemonogatari did raise a few eyebrows compared to Bakemonogatari though. Just saying.

4- Nisemonogatari, for the toothbrush scene obviously and more of the Araragi Senjougahara banter is always good.

3- Shin Sekaiyori, it started slow but became very gripping about 10 episodes in.

2- Sword art online, because I love MMO games, I will not defend it and act like it is better than it is, but I certainly did enjoy it.

1- Dusk maiden. Not a bad show but not as good as the other 3.

4 - From the New World - My interest was piqued at episode one, episode two's existence confused me and it all came together episode four. I was hooked thereafter. I also like most shows where each side of a conflict isn't just black or white.
3 - NIsemonogatari - I enjoyed the way Bakemonogatri told its stories and SHAFT being SHAFT, and Nisemonogatari continued this... sort of.
2 - Sword Art Online - Originally, I was worried this would be a .HACK//Sign clone, and while a lot of plot devices were similar it grew in its own direction (ie. simple plot and eye candy) and was thoroughly enjoyable. Though the whole Elfheim Online arc was pretty drab.
1 - Dusk Maiden of Amnesia - I couldn't invest in the characters, meaning anything that happened in this show lost any impact.

The top three are -really- close right now. Two sets of votes could change first place.

Although it's still early; a lead should develop before long. This one's pretty suspenseful though!

Oh man, I'm gonna have to give this one about an hour of thought...

4. Nisemonogatari - Because episode 8.

3. Shin Sekai Yori - I loved almost everything about this show, and it's a wonderful work of art. Best ending of the season by far (even better than JoJo's lol), possibly even the year. It had 2 fatal flaws, in the show's pacing and in its characterization, which is why it's number 2. But I liked the music, the art, and the conspiracy.

2. Sword Art Online - I liked this one dangit, screw the haters. Episode 3 was my favorite. Lisbeth was the best. Asuna passes. Yui is adorable. Sugu needs to shut up and get with Recon. I liked it because I marathoned it, rather than watching it week-by-week. Season 2 pls.

1. Dusk Maiden of Amnesia - I loved the second half and I liked the first half. It's a horror anime, but there weren't often times where I felt genuinely creeped out or scared. The romance is where the show shines. Taking that into consideration, I shouldn't have too much of a problem with the first half, but it felt a little unfulfilling still. Also one of the best endings of the year. Sadly, it's the worst against 3 great animes and would've gotten a four in plenty of other battles.

4 - From the New World: Fantastic story with some moments of real intensity. You never felt that anyone was safe, either - in anime, it's rare that there isn't a character who's decked out in plot armour. The art let it down in places, but I nonetheless got really engrossed in the world of this series.

3 - Nisemonogatari: Didn't match its prequel for me because the pace was slow and the balance of comedy to mystery to romance to action felt off. Still, the dialogue was often very entertaining, the main characters were loads of fun, and the presentation was beautiful and stylish.

2 - Dusk Maiden of Amnesia: I only watched three episodes of this, but those episodes were insubstantial, had too much repetitive comedy, and didn't really justify character motivations. It's likely that this could have improved as the intriguing mystery unfolded, but I didn't want to stick around to find out.

1 - Sword Art Online: Somehow I watched twelve episodes of this in the hope that eventually, I'd see what all the fuss was about. Hurried and unnatural drama and romance, unimaginative battles, and so much deus ex machina... it looked quite nice, but that's nowhere near enough to redeem this series in my eyes.

I will admit that I wish that any given show would have zero inappropriate content in them. However, what will cause me to not watch a show at all is if such content is rampant, distracting, and over-the-top. From what I understand of Nisemonogatari, based on various reviews on MAL, Nihon Review, and other places, the series decided to up the amount of such content from Bakemonogatari to the point that it actually hurt the experience. I have been under the impression that even those who enjoyed Bakemonogatari and could overlook the inappropriate content in it had trouble doing so with Nisemonogatari, and therefore did not enjoy it as much.

There was one scene in episode 8 that was immersion-breakingly weird (to me at least). But honestly, I thought Shinobu made up for it in spades every time she showed up. Personal preference will win out though; not saying you're wrong.

The Hachikuji "Courage to Tell a Lie" and "The Price of Love" skits were also fantastic.

And the actual plot wasn't terrible either. But that's beside the point.
