Go for it! This situation reminds me of episodes 9 and 10 of the second season of The World God Only Knows, which you should watch. That's with highschool teacher and not college one albeit, but it's somewhat relevant and a good watch at the very least. :D

Yes, that show is the best way to base life decisions.

It was meant as a joke. But the situation reminded me of it so much I had to say.

i'm 21 years old i'm african american and my teacher at my collage is a few years older than me and she's smoking hot and she's white but we get along so well even though i 'm a useless otaku, she's knows nothing about anime related stuff but our morals and beliefs are the same, today after class me and her talked for a very long time about stuff even after class!! and we done that a few times before but is it just me or could this turn into something like you know, i kinda don't want to say, and also shes not dating anyone ether she told the whole class once, and she's about 25 or 24 years old i'm guessing by her looks and by the way did i say she's taller than me , damn it!! lol

Don't get carried away. Chatting is different from dating, and just because she is willing to talk to you doesn't mean she is willing to take your pants off, at least not right now.

I don't know what the institution's policy is regarding student/faculty relationships, but any professor with the bad judgement to fool around with her student a time bomb. She could lose her job and tank her career, or she could get mad at you and punish you by giving you a lousy grade. Predators are interested in being involved with someone who they can control, but healthy adults are not.

If you still think dating your professor is a good idea, then ask her to tell you when your final grade is submitted so you can invite her out for a drink. She'll tell you at that time whether or not an invitation would be welcomed, and even if she says not to bother asking her out she will be flattered that you like her.

Hey just think if you tell her you like her in that way and she doesn't go for it, it will make for an awkward class for you!

For personal questions like these, we have a sticky thread here in general in which to ask them: http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-1099/the-general-helpadvice-thread

Anyway, I think u are reading too much into this. Part of being a teacher is to talk with your students. If a student approaches a teacher with conversation, it's only natural for the teacher to respond back in a friendly & courteous manner. It seems, at the very least, that your teacher isn't too afraid of conversation, and I would bet that if any student wanted to come talk with her, she would be more than willing to.

If u really feel like u may want to pursue a relationship with her though, and as other people have said, I would wait till at least you are no longer her student.

You'd be surprised at the illiteracy of the average American undergraduate. This kind of language fail is not unexpected.

Remember, teachers love it when you profess your love to them during the middle of a lecture.

Why don't we have Google glasses yet?! Arrrgh!

If I had a dime for every female student that has asked me out after a semester... I'd have 30 cents... not sure where I was going with that.

It doesn't diminish the comics value. Love the artwork. One of the most influential comic series of our generation.Haruhara Haruko was strongly influenced by tank girl.

Really?
That kind of fail would be working the fields in China.
4/10 on the troll for so many believing it.
Still 1/10 on trying to make yourself look better to attract an otaku.

Hmmm... not a good idea. She could get in trouble with her job for that.

yeah i know i like her but not like her like her and i'm a very shy guy and i want a otaku girlfriend but i.. i really don't know what to do well its the end of the semester and i passed the tests she gave out to the class but i don't think i have it in me to go out with a older women not to mention that i have could get into trouble if i date her and she could get into trouble too so i think i might have to say no just in case she ask me out at the end of this semester.

She is not to much older..

And as people have said, it probably would be a good idea to stop it from going any further, especially since she is your teacher and you both could get in alot of trouble.

If you do decide to go for it you would probably have to keep it a secret. Seeing as how your teacher is so young I am almost positive it is a student getting their master's teaching your class. With that said, I am sure there is some sort of ethical contract she had to sign with the university before starting to teach. Usually there is a rule about employers (your grad student teacher) dating their employees (you, the student, the love struck brother)
