Like the title says how long do animes usually stay on CR? I've been interested in buying some blu's but I'm wondering if it's worth it since I can watch some on crunchy anyways.

Thanks

I think it depends on the license and CR's ability/desire to renegotiate, but most seem to stay for a long while. For example, CR simulcasted Usagi Drop (Summer 2011) and it only disappeared earlier this year. So at least a year seems to be normal.

I would cry if all the animes I'm planning to watch just stop dropping - I'd have to result in illegally watching them. It's not like I'll get found out by the FBI, I just feel more secure watching them on CR.

CR gives a pretty good heads up on when a show will be dropped. Like when the Gundam shows were dropped they gave people enough of an advance to watch through the series. They usually end up replacing them with good shows to make up for it though.

Thanks for the reply! Ok, so they do go away eventually. I guess I'll go ahead and buy my favourites if they're available. I really like your miku avatar btw
