Well when you think about it Kuroyukihime. Kuro is black and Kirito was known as the black knight. Asuna's real last name is Yuki. Hime, if she was their daughter she would be their hime. The problem with this is that Kuroyuikihime has had a sad childhood. Asuna and Kirito would not treat her badly, nor would it seem they would break up, the only option would be that they either died or are missing or turned bad somewhere down the line.

I agree mostly with maffayoo. Asuna has showed countless times that she is a very kind person. Add to that the relationship she has with her own mother is a nightmare and I highly doubt that she would be a bad mother. As for Kirito however his personality begins to change a bit in GGO and Alicization gets really weird with him. I haven't finished (nor do I know) how it ends but it is clear that both of them start using VRMMO's as a way to escape from reality, which is the opposite of the first two arcs. Anyways with how he starts getting super into the tech aspect of things and how much he does to break down walls for Yui its clear he still cares very deeply for her. As for wether or not they die though, well idk and if it does happen it will be one heck of an ending for SAO.

Well the two anime's are by two different studios... but the original drawings from the light novels could be the same artist but why would he make the character look so similar to Kirito and Asuna? Even if it is the same artist i'm sure he could have added different features to them... Basically your comment is pointless and doesn't add anything to the conversation.

Yep her and Kirito made great parents to Yui... if they are her parents something must have happened to them for her to have a bad childhood i don't think they where killed though... Perhaps the person who created Accel World knows where Kuroyukihime's parents are or maybe he himself kidnapped them? That would explain Snow blacks obsession with discovering the creator of Accel World... because as much as i like her right now her reasons seem really selfish and just born out of a lust for power... If the author where to add this as an extra motivation for her desperation it would certainly make her an even better and more relatable character then she already is...

It is not hard to learn the kana and enough kanji to read light novels they are written with age groups that read them in mind and the kanji has the helpers.. learning to speak is harder imo. I am almost there... Started with childrens books heh.. Momotaro, Kaguyahime, etc etc

Used the Remembering the Kana/Kanji Series you can find on Amazon.. and a set of flash cards with wife.

That's interesting to know... I've been trying to learn Japanese for sometime i know a few of the symbols for Hirigana but haven't gotten onto Katakana yet or Kanji, i'd love to learn the language but i've been busy with Uni so i haven't had the time neccesary to put into properly learning it... hopefully when i finish in the next couple of weeks i can start properly learning while i search for a job.

I am tempted to order the books anyway as motivation and just to own the collection Can anyone recommend a decent website? I know Amazon jp will ship stuff but their shipping costs are ridiculous. I thought maybe Play-Asia but they seemingly don't carry Light novels or at least they don't carry SAO or Accel World.

I got friends i made while i was stationed there so I visit and can get people to get things for me.. It might be cheaper if you order as much as you can shipping wise from amazon.jp instead of one little item. To bad prime doesn't work international heh. Maybe buying a amazon.jp kindle and a VPN service to download books to it from a JP IP would work.... they recently started light novel kindle ebooks so everything might not be out.

That kana series starts with hiragana and then next book is katakana, once ya know how to correctly sound out each syllable, its more about visually assigning picture of word to word. Your vocabulary starts to pick up as you can start relating the symbols to sounds and reading kids books helps teach words. Its not easy but you can be well on your way to reading way faster than speaking especially if you dont have a fluent speaker around all the time.

And what i did once i could sound out the kana is start using Rosetta stone without romanji which makes it actually a bit effective.. I had more reasons than reading light novels in mind when i started learning so to each their own tho.

Kanji requires a lot of memorization but you only need to learn to a 6th grade level or so.

And making up endings to any literature is fun who cares if they aren't related in the end, if you cant see the resemblance in the art you dont want to see it, end of story. Anime is fairly predictable no matter how original someone thinks the plot is and its very plausible they are related and there is tons of what could be straight foreshadowing of said relation.

How do you not see the resemblance? Did you see the picture on my first page in case you didn't here it is again...

She has Asuna's eyes and the same colour hair as Kirito plus she has pretty similar values and mannerisms...

as maffayoo there isn't a right or wrong answer it's fun to speculate but the resemblance really is uncanny.
