Ouija™ boards are a toy (look it up). Spirit boards in general, meh. Tried it, didn't do jack, the result didn't exactly surprise me, and I'm unlikely to try it again because it was an incredibly boring experience.

I tried it with a couple of friends, but I was the one moving it. I still haven't told my friends that I was the one moving it, and now they think they have some sort of entity around them. I think they're being over dramatic, but I also find it pretty hilarious.

Honestly, if you're willing to believe in those or even willing to try using one, make sure you check yourself into the nearest hospital for a full psychological exam. If you've been deemed not crazy, then the doctor who performed the exam is even crazier than you.

Cirka 95 % of the human population believes in something... otherworldly. In that context, is it safe to say that those 95 % are all "crazy?"

Yes. Yes they are. If the majority of the human race wants to believe in something (God, gods, spirits, etc.) that they can't see, touch, hear, or smell, then that's their call. They can live on blind faith if that's what they want. I just won't be one of them.

I know your comment pertains to religion, but I'll have you know that we are physically only able to touch, hear,or smell less than 5% of the universe.
And I wouldn't say blind faith about "spirits" because I lived in a haunted house, and I can say they're real. But there's no way to communicate, or even observe when they're around. They just come and go out of nowhere.
Now if that can happen, they'll give us significant scientific data ;D

Idk about ouiji boards calling them. Everyone says something different.

i found an old ouiji boards at a garage sale. it was made of different material then the ones you find in the stores now. I took it to college and about a week in a bunch of us got together to play with it. We all came from different cities and we never saw each other before the first day of school.

at first we thought it was funny and someone was moving the oracle it said that it was a ghost and it knew someone in the room. we asked who and spelled out the name of one of the girls there. She was not moving the oracle, she was standing behind one of the people at the board. the ghost gave a name and the girl was like i know that name but he's dead. it started to give details about his death, it was a suicide and the girl started to freak out and cry.

now you can say it's possible that during that first week she told one of the people at the board about the suicide or maybe it's possible that they read about it but i don't think that was the case. especially the way she freaked out.

we didn't play around with it after that.

I played with one with my sister and some of our young cousins -- I was 16, my sister was 15, and the cousins were 11 and 10.
My best friend had just died in a car accident, so my sister and I decided we would try a Ouija board to see if we could contact her. I never knew if it was her, although she spelled out her name. The two cousins didn't know the details of my friends death (not even her name), and I totally trust my sister when she said she wasn't moving the oracle.
It didn't get scary at this point. The spirit spelled out that she had to go, and when we asked where she had to go, she said she had to use the restroom...so of course we were like, "There are bathrooms in Heaven?" The reply came back, "Of course. Where else would we go?"

I have never forgotten that, because it was so funny and so weird. It was definitely not something that any of us would have come up with.

Later after the two cousins went to bed, my sister and I played with the board by ourselves. There was something malevolent that contacted us later and scared us bad enough we never messed with a Ouija board again. I know I wasn't moving the oracle, and to this day my sister swears she wasn't either.
But I should say that I believe in ghosts because I have seen them, so of course we believed in the Ouija board as a conduit to speak with the dead.

So, play with the board at your own risk -- you don't really know the spirits you are talking to, and you really may not want to know them either...

TELL ME YOUR EXPERIENCES WITH ONE!!!

I want personal ones because I want to try one but so far have heard two extremely opposite feedback of ---its BS or it actually can make unwanted spirits haunt you.

So which one is true?

here is also an unrelated picture

It's not that having an experience that I have, Since this device is connected with the occult or magic or summoning " spirits " It has to do with divination, something condemned in the Holy Scriptures, and so I will not be one to call forth demonic forces, because the only unseen forces that would be summoned by it are demons, These are fallen Angels, not something you should trifle with.

Glen, The Bible clearly states in Genesis that Adam came from the dust, and to the dust he would return, This was after he and eve rebelled against God's warning about not eating of the tree of the knowledge of good and bad.

In Genesis. 2:16, 17: And Jehovah God also laid this command upon the man: “From every tree of the garden you may eat to satisfaction. 17 But as for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad you must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die.”

After pronouncing judgment for their act of disobedience, God said to Adam in Genesis 3:19: " 9 In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken.+ For dust you are and to dust you will return.

There are other scriptures that assure us that when a person dies, that is that, nothing lives on, However, There are spirit creatures that do delight in making you think that the dead can speak or contact the living or harm the living, they are those angels that followed satan the devil and were finally cast out of heaven. A Ouija board or any sommoning of the dead is fruitless, your being tricked by demonic forces.

Ouiji boards are not to be messed with. If you know what you are doing and your intentions then it`s fine. If you are one of those people that are doing it for fun or as a dare to scare yourself, do not do it. Unless you want to live a life of regret and fear.

My advice is, only do it if you know EXACTLY what you`re doing. You would not want unwanted spirits fucking you up in the long run. Ouiji boards are serious things and they should not be messed around with.

I second this. Don't like them personally.

People shouldn't mess with Ouija boards, not even professionals like to mess with them because the spirits can be malevolent or non human. We do EVP and spirit box sessions and those can be bad sometimes if you ask the wrong questions. I'm pretty sure I got followed for several months after doing a spirit box session and I don't want to go back to that location anymore. It becomes more of a problem when the users are open and empathetic to spirits, this can lead to attachment or cause other spirits from locations to snatch onto you. :< Personally I get really bad headaches when I'm around spirits sometimes but I don't think they are trying to hurt me or anything.

There are also scriptures that allude to our spirit or soul and that we may have a place in Heaven -- I believe the "dust to dust" reference to be applicable to the corporeal body and does not refer to what happens to our souls.

1 Corinthians 15:42-44
So is it with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable; what is raised is imperishable. It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.

John 14:1-2
Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?

Anyways, I am not on this site to be preached to about whether spirits exist or do not exist, I was stating my experience with a Ouija board and that I personally believe in ghosts, demons, spirits, souls, etc and have a reason to from things that I have experienced in my own life.
But thank you for the Bible verses.
