Ouija boards have been debunked countless times by some of the greatest minds on both TV and in writing. Anyone who truly still believes in their purpose for real needs a reality slap.

It is simply a masterfully designed psychological game. The players push the thing sub-consciously, which means you will always deny pushing it because of course you didn't mean to push it, but you did push it. I gotta hand it to the guy who designed it, really, because it's quite brilliant.

It only takes a few minutes of your own experimentation with as little as one other curious friend to see for yourself.

They've taken countless experiments with people who have no idea what they're doing to play on the board, then play again with blind folds on, which is before they turn the board upside-down...guess where the thing goes? It goes to where the answers/letters might be if the board were right-side up. The people were sub-consciously pushing to their answers based on where they believed the answers still were.

It's a game. That's all there is to it. An interesting concept, and well designed game, at that.

You can slap me as many times as you want.
I'm a very superstitious person and I would never do something as to play with a ouiji board, let alone be in the same room as one

Well then you're a wussy. It's not different than believing in Santa Clause or the Easter Bunny.

Do you get creeped out every time you see a flat piece of wood and a magnifying glass in the same room?

I believe in the power of Ouiji boards, and I would never use one.

There are too many unexplained incidents surrounding them. In my own family when my mum was little, someone used it and things went from bad to worse.

I once gave my friend a dead-arm. Later that day it started to rain.

I guess my dead arms can change the weather, huh?

Well, obviously you don't believe in them. But there's not need to reply so snarkily to my comment just because the belief differs from yours.

TELL ME YOUR EXPERIENCES WITH ONE!!!

I want personal ones because I want to try one but so far have heard two extremely opposite feedback of ---its BS or it actually can make unwanted spirits haunt you.

So which one is true?

I don't have personal experiences of one... but I know someone whom I trust that played around with one before and it actually did move on its own and spelled out a name for her.

I wouldn't take it that far...
First, Santa is real (dead, but real - a real saint from ancient times) and Easter Bunny (some creep in a costume).
Second, for me it's just the thought of bringing potential harm to myself and others just creeps me out. Like I have and never will do the Bloody Mary thing in the bathroom or to any mirrors.

And also I'd like to see some proof that legit people debunked it

Listen...all I'm trying to say is that fear of a piece of wood and some glass is irrational. There is literally no existing reason anymore that you have to wonder, or even think that there is anything to be afraid of in these things. Unlike ghosts or aliens, or things like that, the board itself is a fictitious action figure that is brought to life by the players themselves and this has been proven empirically. It is fact. There is nothing else to it than that.

It's like being afraid that the pencil you're writing with is going to sprout legs and then stab you in the eye. It's a completely irrational, and invalid fear of something that is no longer (or ever was) comprehensible or logical to believe.

I suppose since there's a phobia for everything you can choose to say you're afraid of anything...but I'm sure you understand my point, no?

If you're interested in a humorous doctrine on the matter...Penn & Teller did a special just on this topic.

Another day, another zipzo dragging.
*giggles hysterically*

OT:

Oija Boards help us communicate with the dead.
It's a fact that hasn't been proven.

idk if an oija board reaaaally works. i mean i played 1 at Camp when i was a senior with other camp couselors but it only worked when the foreign exchange student from france played with us.... so idk she said she played alot with her fam back home. When we played with her we had to touch the oija board thingy real lightly. i was scared after i played cause i was on night duty.... and the other camp couselors talked about wild hobos in the forest... in all nothing happened.... till the french girl played, we couldnt figure out who we were talking to due to the pressure we put on the board thingy.

I wouldn't mess with that stuff. I don't really have any occult/superstitious beliefs, but I do believe in Evil, and that inviting Evil is a very bad idea.

I think it's far more rational to have a fear of other human beings. There is an existing possibility (and I suppose it's even likely) that you could actually be attacked by one as opposed to "evil spirits".

Probability would show that if you compare ghost/demon/evil related deaths to that of human homicide, that you're more likely to encounter that before you do an apparition.
