Europe always gets boned on the back catalog, Its one of the things CR really needs to work on, we get so little of it over here I dont see why we pay for it at all tbh

It's really not that bad in the UK. Mainland Europe has it ten times worse.

In terms of currently airing anime (and generally this years anime stuff) UK has it better than europe yes, but back catalog the whole of europe is boned equally really

Read or Die TV is such an incredible series. A great addition to the library. But... will Crunchy get the OVA series too? It's sort of the prequel and the art and story are awesome.

Would be there also OVA for R.O.D. since it's prequel or there's only TV series ?

Too bad it's NA only. I already watched Gurann, but i would try to watch other two when i visit western side of globe. And the next 5 will be also NA only or we could except something more?

These are from Aniplex of America, so they simply don't have the rights themselves to license anything other than the U.S. and Canada to CR.

People should keep in mind that when CR gets these series from AoA, it is typically a case of them expanding their online distribution. ROD has been available on Hulu for some time (in fact, they currently have all 26 episodes), while Gurren Lagann is probably a more recent addition there (and only has episodes 1-3 listed).

What about R.O.D. (Read Or Die) the OVA? People need to watch the OVA before ROD the TV series. Shame on you Crunchyroll.

I hope the fact that UK has it better now means that sooner or later the rest of the Europe will too. Until then we get to pay the full price for a meager collection of the worst B-anime CR could scrounge up from the Abyss. Oh, well... Can't really complain if it's the only legitimate streaming site in my neck of the woods.

The link to Ghost Slayers Ayashi is broken. I'm surprised no one picked up on that yet. XD
It seems the plural "s" in "slayers" is missing in the link.

When R.O.D. The TV is the surprise hit of the season, outperforming many a simulcast? When Aniplex starts cashing those residual royalty checks, they'll definitely consider putting the Read or Die OVA's up.

Oh well, a guy can dream.

It'll get better eventually. I have faith that licensing restrictions are a dying breed.

Gurren Lagann is one of my favourite animes. It's a shame I won't be able to watch it on CR.

Yea, those in Europe really need either a price reduction or increase in service. You get shafted so hard at the moment, barely any back catalog and CR doesnt seem to be able to get rights for all of Europe. I dont mind paying similar amounts of US since they've been good with the UK recently but why should I pay when I cant get at most of the back catalog? Just seems off is all

not surprised is not licensed for people outside US and Canda, still I already watched R.O.D back when Animax was in Latin America, before Sony betrayed everyone and changed into another lame channel, Gurren at least I'm happy I already watched too, but is sad for everyone else that can't watch these shows since they're really good
