Atleast we get most of the currently airing anime, think about the rest of europe. They're as boned as we are on back catalog but also boned on currently airing.

I know this is a lame question, but what exactly is a catalog title?? How is it different from any other crunchyroll title?? If you could write me a private message that would be super appreciated!!! thanks =)

A catalog title is one which has finished airing in Japan which Crunchyroll did not have available while it was airing in Japan.

Most titles people are excited about are simulcast titles. They are currently airing weekly in Japan. After they are finished airing in Japan they are generally still available here but are not called catalog titles.

Actually a lot of people would indeed call those catalog titles ... its short for "back catalog" ... but of course, since they were announced as simulcasts, they are not going to get announced as new catalog titles.

But they obviously are not going to answer this question ~ if they do it one day, they are not going to say, "we are presently negotiating on getting wider region access for some existing catalog titles", they are going to say, "Good News, we have negotiated wider region access for some existing catalog titles, with _list_ titles being added for _list_ countries!"

There's no gain in talking about deals that haven't been finalized yet. Any deals that get signed, sealed and delivered will get announced, and any deals that don't work out are not going to be discussed in public. That's just part of negotiating with Japanese companies: they don't like rumors of negotiations to be leaked to the public.

You should write MangaUK and ask them to do a package deal with Crunchyroll to stream any titles that Crunchyroll picks up for the US if MangaUK has the UK streaming rights.

There's no guarantee that MangaUK has the streaming rights for all of the titles that they distribute, but there's no harm in asking them to work together with Crunchyroll.

Thank you CR! I'm so excited to watch Gurren Lagann in high def! I'm also excited to finally watch R.O.D... seems to be a classic I should have seen by now. And Gurren Lagann already felt like a classic the moment it aired. ^_^

Great titles all around. Every day I'm closer to choosing the yearly subscription option and I bet a lot of other members have already done so solely based on this great update. Keep up the good work, Crunchyroll!
