I would stay female. Only because if I was male I'm sure I would be gay.
And It doesn't bother me much with all the biological things in life.

Yes, there are some benefits to being a female, but I already know how to cook.

This is such an interesting thread!
There are other (real) benefits of being female, such as better fine-motor and mechanical skills, longer life spans, and better immune systems. We can also reproduce - the ability to have babies is such a valuable limiting resource that nearly all of our gender-based social inequities revolve around who can control our reproductive rights, and who the children legally belong to. It's a fascinating application of evolutionary biology, but a little much for the TPO.

I would never in a million zillion years choose to be a man. Just thinking about it makes my skin crawl. This is funny because I am often told that I have a very manly way of thinking and interacting with the world. But while I occasionally think about how I'd like to be taller, thinner, or stronger, I love my female body and consider myself lucky that I get to live in it. (I took a minute here thinking pervy thoughts, but chose not to share them.)

Sure, if I were a man I'd have a wider selection of women to choose from, but since I am attracted to lesbians it would be completely pointless. And it creeps me out because I'm totally and completely female. I can't stand even wearing men's sized T shirts. I have a lot of sympathy for transsexuals because I imagine they feel as strongly as I do, only their bodies don't match their minds.

I don't think it matters. I can be a guy or a girl, gay or straight or bi. I don't really care much for trivial things.

Considering that my sexual preferences might change too. If I choose to be a guy I'd become a rapist. IDK but I can see it.

So, I'd stick to my gender.

I'm a bit confused about this topic to be honest.

You're basically asking if people are uncomfortable with their current gender. I mean if people say they would have liked to have chosen the opposite gender at birth then they clearly want to be the opposite gender and could still do that with surgery anyway.

I'm not sure what neuroendocrine regulation has to do with rape, but now I'm even more curious.

I am a woman and I would stay the way I am. I enjoy being a woman and there seems to be a lot of pressure on men. I would hate to have to be the bread winner and be looked down on if I cried in public. ........ or punched a mean lady.

It hard to answer this. There are pros and cons on both sides. Here in the states, while equality is getting better every day, women are still paid less than men and often times are not taken as seriously as men are in the workplace. That being said, women still have an advantage over men because women know how to use their femininity to manipulate men to get what they want. I'm not saying all women do it, but some do. I think those who do don't really want to, but they are trying to get ahead in life and this is the only viable option they see. A female friend of mine openly admitted to me that she used her good looks to manipulate men when she was younger. She says she doesn't do it anymore, but there was a time where she felt she had to. Otherwise, she wouldn't have been taken seriously. Other women refuse to do such things, hoping to move up in the corporate world on their own merits.

Sigh.

As I said, pros and cons to both sides. As far as would I go from being male to female...I have to admit, sometimes it seems like a good option.
