Hundreds of cars are able to drift. Anything rear-wheel drive, be it front- or mid-engine is theoretically capable of drifting. Given the right setup, even an AWD can do some pretty impressive sliding.

However, being ABLE to drift, and being any good for it, are two different things.

I used to drift a '95 240SX (S14).

Had all the usual drift crap done to it. Sadly, it met a freeway wall very agressively in an accident one day, three years ago. I still miss it.

NOOBS!!! Drifting is technically possible with RWDs, and in some cases, AWDs.

Drifting a FWD isn't technically "drifting"...

Evo's, STI's, Skyline's, ETC are AWD, and have the POTENTIAL to drift...

RWD are true drift machines. It all comes down to the balance of the car.....

BTW, I'd drift a Subaru Impreza WRX STI on a muddy mountain pass, mmmm, mud......
